I've decided to get a high quality mod after dealing with cheaper versions for a long time now. I have a vmax now and used vv box mod before that. I'm fairly tough on my PV using it all day without a break. I have a tendency to drop them, plastic box breaks - button on vmax sticks, I want durability and function. Any thoughts on which one? I like both the tube and the box so I'm not worried about that. Thanks for your input.

Both are very nice mods. The ProVari is built better though and has a screen for vv instead of a kick. I do believe that the best built bottom feeder is the Reo though. I haven't found anything better than that yet.

Hi jp,

I don't even know what a Phidias is but my Provari mini is pretty tough and I carry it in a Serenity flexi sleeve lanyard... makes it almost indestructible I think :) gl let us know what you decide.

I have a REO grand and ordered a Provari. IMO the two most invincible mods in their respective categories. My REO needs a tune up but although I've never dropped it hard I use my stuff. It's battle tested and reliable I find it hard to believe I could actually break this thing.

My ProVari lasts almost 2 full days in 18650 mode. It is built like a tank and can take a beating. I dropped it the other day onto my tile floor and it didn't even flinch. I grabbed for it expecting something to be wrong but there is no sign of any problem.

From what I found online the ProVari, in 18650 mode, is just slightly longer than the Vmax with two 18350 batts. The Vmax is about 4.3'' long and the ProVari, with the 18650 extension, is 4.6''. The Provari in 18500 mode is 4.1'' long.

The mini will NOT give you all day vaping if you vape at anything more than an occasional pace. I love mine for it's size....I can hide it in my hand but an 18350 isn't going to get you max vape times. I use it in mini mode for evenings out, things like that and get around 4-5 hours but 18350s are small so it's easy to carry a couple of spares which should get you through the day if you want to go that route

You can use an extension cap with the mini with an 18500 but if you're looking for max vape time go with the reg version and an extension cap. It's still quite a bit shorter than the Vamo and Vmax in 18650 mode and will give you comparable vape times.
