Yes they do.
The hole is in the middle.

You should be able to see the hole in 4 out of 5 pictures on the site.

The center is not visible because of the coil/wick that's installed. The item that I received, branded the same, from another vendor does not have an open passage from the connector. Why would it need a hole in the side of the body if it draws air from the bottom connector?

Ohh, I am sorry.

I thought you meant a hole for airflow.
Not a hold in the center contact.

I am sorry, but these DO NOT have the center contact hole.

The hole I was referring about is the on the side.
So that is why it needs that for airflow.

If others like A7 have a center contact hole, then yes it would not need the side hole

I am not fully understanding what would be in the way on a lavatube.

The Phoenix is not considered a tank, but the body itself would be flush after the threads.

Would a 510 extension maybe help in this situation? a 1/2 inch?

On the original lavatube, the outer edge of the top end-cap is raised. I'm not sure about the RBA, but certain tanks will get stopped from screwing in flush with the connector by this outer edge, which means that the connectors aren't completely connecting, and airflow through the vents on the connector won't be able to breathe. If this winds up the case for the Phoenix, then yes, a 510-510 extender would be essential to ensuring that it will function properly on a ver. 1 lavatube.

Is it this style LT?

Sorry I don't have a pic of it fully assembled, but that's my VTube from Apollo (Which is a LT basically) with a Phoenix base screwed in while building a coil. (If doing it this way, make sure the power is off so you don't accidentally fire the device)

Nice coil ya got there!

Thanks. I use a threaded shaft to wrap it. 6-60 about 4 inches long. Perfect length to hold while wrapping, and perfect width for the cotton yarn wicks. Fold the yarn in half and it will twist into the coil ... since a coil is basically a threaded hole :) Hope the pic helps OP. They never responded. :\

Glad I could help. My next project is considering painting one of these black as well. Don't think I can get the knurled bottom done good ... but if it's a black upper, the SS ring would look kind of cool I think. We shall see.
