I'm on a night out tomorrow after work and don't have time to send off for anything to store my PV in. I've read that the battery can affect your mobile phone. I'm using a small clutch bag, but how can I keep them separated, or is there something I can store PV in to protect my phone. I guess I don't really need my phone but I'd like to have it with me.

No it's magnetic devices like loud speakers. There is a magnet in your phones speaker so you'd be right to keep the two seperate. I'm not sure exactly what would happen if the two came into contact for a long period of time. I'm not sure what would happen in any case actually. Better safe than sorry though. It wouldn't harm your phone it's the other way round.

My instruction manual says to keep away from small devices e.g. phones as it could damage them.
Opinions would be welcome :)

Probably because the device *could* smack against it and damage the screen or something ... The only way a battery is going to damage a phone electrically speaking is if both battery contacts somehow manage to come into contact with the electrical components of your phone ... causing a short. Pretty much impossible to do on accident ...

Would have to agree with synthsiggy that it would be the other-way-round, however, don't most phones have the same Li-Ion battery technology we use in ecigs (for the most part)?

An average magnet has zero effect on the batteries we use in our pvs. In fact, many people use magnets on their batteries if they don't have nipple top batteries that a device requires. And yes, phones use Li-Ion batteries.

True about the magnet button tops. Hadn't even thought about that. Regardless, if there were any truth to the statement of an ecig damaging the phone it would seem the phone would be damaging itself just by existing. As you said before, if anything is going to happen at all it would likely be screen damage, which your car keys would do just as easily.

That's what happens when your ecig gets too close to your cell
