Thy he is just so adorable and you are such a great grandpa. For now I'll just enjoy pics of everybody else's kids and hope my daughter doesn't make me a grandma for several more years

lol yeah I definitely would have hoped to make it past 34 before being a grandparent but now that it has happened I figure I may as well enjoy it ;)

The kids had to work last night so I took him to see his first fireworks show.

It will come quicker than you can ever imagine. Mine turned 21 in January and I have no idea where all the years went.

Good looking youngin there Vaporologist. Now need to start saving for four year college and then a masters or a phd. :D

Yes this is the part we're going through now, fun fun fun! 3 years down, 6 more until she's a vet.

I just turned 49 and I'm hoping it's not any time soon LOL

How did he do with the fireworks? Was he scared at all? How fun to get to go through all those firsts with him :) I hope when the time comes that we still live close enough to our daughter to be able to see our grandkids when we want. Of course my daughter just moved back home so I might never get rid of her

Yeah unfortunately back when mine were little I was working anywhere from 12 - 20 hours a day 6 - 7 days a week and missed a lot. So it's nice to see the firsts with him now.

When we saw them last night we were about a quarter mile away and it wasn't a great show (gaps in between and such) and he enjoyed it but got distracted a bit. But tonight we went to different ones and we were close enough to watch the guys lighting them off and surprisingly the noise didn't bother him a bit... he loved it....

YouTube - 4th Fireworks pt.2

When I was taking pics of him before they started I realized that my camera had a fireworks setting that I'd actually forgotten about so I took some pics to test it out.

okay and I promise to stop overruning the thread with his pics but I just had to share these with you guys too.

At 10 months old he knows exactly what the camera is and loves it. I had the camera on night setting which means you hit the button it flashes once and then flashes again about 10 seconds later. Well he was just sitting there looking around all straight faced and not all to interested in any one thing. I pick the camera up and wait for him to turn and when he turned he still had a semi bored look on his face. I hit the button and the first flash goes and I end up getting this ....

s5030890.jpg

leaning right into the camera and making faces.

And then in this one he is sitting their on his knees and looking at me with the camera and starting to get a big grin on his face and then sees my sister lift her cell phone up and immediately flops down and looks up into her phone because he is used to people taking his pic with camera phones too....

and he loves it when you show him the pics of himself.

So who would win in a staring contest... that blue legged lobster or that mottled fuzzy toilet seat jumping spider?

yikes!!! i don't want either one of them too close to me... i saw that spider jump out of the toilet, but i also saw that lobster dominate the crap out of a rock that was in the tank w/him... i guess b/c he was getting territorial w/everyone around staring at him. it would be a close call, and definitely not one that i would want to judge!!! 8-o

Lilianna Grace, what a beautiful name. I'm very sorry for your son's passing. I'm sure that he's watching over you and Lilianna every second. They say when you pass on your supposed to go to a better place. I'm sure his 'better place' is right beside the both of you.

With ink like that, I bet your just as adorable! Making a solid +4!
