Picked up a Trident clone

Picked up a Trident clone yesterday. Didnt care for the double coil I made for it, so I put a single micro .8ohm coil on it. Doesnt seem to hit as hard as my igoL. Any tips or suggestions?

Try extending the legs on the coil to get the coil as close to the edge/air flow hole as possible...

I just picked up Phoenix V10 which I believe is a Trident clone, but includes the nice feature of having flat head screws and slots for the wires instead of allen heads and holes. I built dual micro coils for it at 0.6 ohms. coils are nice and close to the air holes.

.....The flavor and vapor aren't even close to the single 1.5 ohm micro coil on my Igo-L.

We'll call the Phoenix V10 a work in a progress.

Hmmm....9wrap, 28g, .9ish ohms....wont fire. Couple puffs off the post, and nothing.....tried again on opposite post, and same thing. Guess Im goin to the vape shop after work tommorrow....

It did seem kinda off kilter yesterday as well....

Got it figured out. One of the insulator rings on one of the post was buggered up, and shorting it out. Shop gave me a new one, tried a flat ribbon coil, ohmed at .9, pretty decent vapor. So far so good.

The shop also gave me a couple feet of the ribbon. I'll play with it more once my ohm meter gets here.
