So i have been playing with a number of setups, started back in december i think (last year tried lookalikes and laughed after a few days)
My current pieces, innokin cool fire 2 (black grenade vw) normally with the iclear that came with it, love msot things about it, feel it could be a lot stronger though and having to switch out batteries all the time (11 hour work days) is the main downside.
gs matrix vv with a vivi nova on top, had a hiccup recently and somehow managed to pop the connector off the soldered wires so its out of commision while i repair it.fun all around daily, battery life is decent controls fun (the goodbye my master off display is always fun) but while a step above my ego 1100 ctwist with kanger 2 setup i had, i want something.... more.
my mech is a maraxxus clone. i adore it. have a patriot drip tip, but while my boss is fine with me vaping at work because im not an ... about it, i cant constantly refill. bought an ithaka clone. and have issues with non resist resist non resist setups.

for a tank im possibly looking at a nautilus (with metal replacement) for being able to alternate between my happy big vapes and when i need to be more discrete, as well as not needing to replace liquid constantly. but cant figure out the mod, or possibly better tank setup for my needs. my local vape place (30 second walk from work) adores me but have advised theres no point in buying anything else from them for a while because everything i have from them is either already better than the other stuff they sell, or would be trading out one metal mech mod (marax) for another which i dont enjoy as much (king and a dozen others in the category) the only other tank they have that wouldnt be a massive step down is the turbine, which they advised me i cant use as my daily because i set my stuff down constantly in pockets where i shift and it would leak because half the time its sideways.

so. i need help. ive seen box mods and adore some, ive seem some wood and brass carved mods that make me forget what i had planned for the day. but no clue where to go. price isnt much of an issue, ) keep it under 1k for general setup if possible :p. size isnt too big an issue as i can walk around with a maraxxus and my coolfire in the same inside coat pocket i wear all day and weight isnt an issue as im a 6'4 guy with a solid frame (was warned my marax may be too heavy and found i adore it for its weight).

so with that said. help.

tl:dr need new setup, preferably with tank as cant refill drip tanks constantly, something that is strong, long battery life, rather lax about its weight and general size

Have you checked out the REO Grand?

18650 battery for a full day of vaping, 6 ml bottle on board, squonk to feed the atty on demand, very pocket friendly, no leaking, awesome service from the dealer, built like a brick you know what and great looks to boot.

reosmods.com

i have glanced over them before, and have the reo website up next in background, i recall some amazing dual battery box mods as well

18650 3400's last me about 5-6 hours of vape time. MVP sometimes all day but usually about nine to ten hours. Tanks I run Rocket rebuildables. They have a lot of bad reviews about leaking but for me with three of them I can not seem to get mine to ever leak. I have dropped them, sat on them, stuff them in my tool pouch and carry them in my pocket. Every new head comes with a steep learning curve to figure out how they work best. Rockets work on vacuum pressure and when you have that all figured out and how to fill them properly and blow out all the air putting in the juice all is good. Hold 5ml of juice.

Travelling or out for the day I take what I need with me. Most times I fill the tank and a fresh battery that I figure will last me and grab a spare full system just in case a burner or tank goes dry. I leave the spare in my truck in case I need it.

I second the ibtanks, a 22 or 25mm xl size lasts most people all day (YMMV). As for all day vape, (and not from fanboy perspective, just recommending b/c easy availability and you said cost not an issue) provari in 18650 mode lasts ~ 15-17 hours. But essentially it will come down to what fits your bill. I've heard great things about the Reo as well, I just can't get into the squonking thing. :)

I guess I can consider myself fortunate because my supplier is local & they have samples (mods, tanks & e-juice) for when I got started. He pushed nothing on me, recommended a starter kit (slimline device with 1100 mAh battery & top coil sample tanks), which I got all for $20 & gave me a bottom coil tank.

When I was ready, he let me try a few more mods, I settled on a Astro clone with DPure PuriTank. I buy my e-juices by the 30ml bottles, this saves me lots of money over what the local smoke shop carries.

It really is good to have a relationship with a distributor who doesn't sell e-cigs as a sideshow (cheap devices & overly jacked up pricing), but as the only one & can be at your door within hours.

i do occasionally look into provaris (and once in a while the darwins but god knows those are never in stock) but going provari almost seems a cop out if that makes sense. ive heard great things and the price isnt an issue. to me it almost seems like buying a mustang for the name instead of going into a specialty vehicle that everyone doesnt just suggest right off the bat

(for example one of my choices next month for my classic car rebuild is either a v8 fairlane or a 73 maverick grabber depending.. because as said. mustangs too common in a sense.)

like i said, my vendor is great, all of them who work there know me since im a 30 second walk away between our places of business, and they are the ones saying to hold off on buying anything else from them because short of some mech mod clones that would be interchangeable with my maraxxus everything i already own or have from them is better than my other options would be. and when i discussed getting stuff online thats beyond what they have the managers first words is we will toss you free juice for you to take your first virgin puff on whatever you end up with as long as we get to see it.

I totally get what you're saying about buying for a name. My dad bought a mustang for his midlife crisis and it was the worst POS I have ever seen in a car. In this case though, you said durability was a major selling point for you. My suggestion is, check out reviews for the PVs you're interested in. I think that you may find the provari earned it's reputation fairly. Many many threads here about being dropped from second floor windows, dunks in toilets, being run over on the freeway, you get the picture. But either way, you will be vaping on the thing, so you know what you need best. I wish you luck finding your holy grail of vaping!

You might be interested in GP spheroid tank by vapor art; surgical grade steel and fda approved insulators.
