Orange door on brushed silver laptop with stickers so you can hopefully see the color compared to colors you likely have handy.

Based on what I see on my monitor, the colors came out pretty true. Slightly muted, but fairly accurate.

My heart is set on a Reo Grand. All that's left is to pick a color. I think it's down to just white, orange or anodized black. I'd love to see pictures from owners and your opinions. Thank you REOnauts!

You can find lots of pics in this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/236376-reo-family-photos-storage-ideas-part-ii.html

Here is a great place to find lots of information: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/270331-free-reo-forum-thread-index.html

Definitely pick YOUR favorite. I personally am a fan of "neutral" Reos (silver, white, black, unfinished, etc.), and "jazzing" them up with a colored door (you can buy them separately, just message or email Reo directly if you don't see the color you want). As everyone says, every Reo looks WAY better in person--pics don't do them justice sometimes.

I am a big fan of the black wrinkle. The wrinkle is a really durable finish, and I like black, personally. Aside from that, the copper vein w/ brass RM is an awesome look, and though I haven't held one, I would surmise that the vein and hammertone finishes are mad durable. The glossy painted Reo colors look great, but in my experience, thay are way more prone to scratching, etc. If you are at a desk all day, probably not a big deal. If you do a lot of driving and/or are going to have your mod rattling around a lot, a gloss finish is going to be more vulnerable than the aforementioned options.

Anyone else want to weigh in on this?

I was really jonesing for a copper vein, until I realized that they turn black from oxidation. I think some folks are trying different things to try to slow or prevent that oxidation process.

I got a used copper vein off the classies and it's pretty black except inside. So much so, that I dressed it up with a Jwrap (that looks really good).

It's going to a new home today (I was lucky to get some Woodvils in the last sale, and I'm prefering them to my metals these days).

I have three in black wrinkle. Love it.

It does lose some luster...but don't we all? I still love the look of mine.

That's reassuring. Do you have any experience with the anodized one?

The very first metal REO's were anodized finished. For a couple of years that is all you could buy.

I have some of the older anodized and some newer. Anodizing is in my opinion the very best finish. It holds up wonderful!

The silver anodizing will not show the minor scratches neither will the Tumbled Raw.

If you will subject your REO to frequent drops on hard surfaces then you can expect any finish to suffer. The Tumbled Raw would be my choice for lots of abuse.

Hmm, well I have a black wrinkle and a black anodized. TBH, I see the Blk wrinkle as more durable finish of those two. I have literally dropped the wrinkle on the corner of a table and it hit the tile floor (chipped the table, no damage to REO, lol) and I've done "nothing" to the black anodized (maybe it tipped over or something, IDK...) and it has a slight ding in it, where the raw aluminum is exposed. But even that "microscopic" ding is not noticeable to anyone except me.

Take my experience for what it's worth, my Reos live a sedentary, pampered lifestyle, sitting on my desk or tucked away in a padded camera bag in my purse (same little camera bag fits in my car's cup holder, too). I think they're ALL quite durable, some a little more than others. I do think the black wrinkle is a nicer look than the anodized :2c:. Kinda like a "fabric" finish feel to it, moreso than "wrinkle".
