I was wondering if the 22mm tank section hid the airflow cutouts along the bottom of the deck, now I know it does and want it even more.

Do you know if they will be offered in other finishes?

I guess you could always have the tank section polished or brushed. If I don't see the KF4 soon I think I will go for one of these, getting impatient and it may not be improved much.
