I modified them by removing the center (positive) pin and cutting a groove with a Dremel from the bottom of the pin to a point just above the deck of the dripper. Works perfectly. They are all genuine.

Why does the nicest stuff always have to come from Europe (and is therefore hard or very costly for everyone else to get)? On the bright side, my wallet is better off.
