Pin Out Clarification on DNA 40 Board

I was looking over the pin out PDF for the Evolv dna 40 board and am I correct in seeing that the negative connection for the battery and the positive side for an external fire switch would go to pin 11 and the negative side of the switch to pin12?

No, there was a typo on an early revision of the datasheet that has since been fixed. You may need to clear your browser cache to get the latest version from the Evolv site.

So as in the DNA 30 I can disconnect the onboard fire button and now in the DNA 40 use pins 3 & 4, correct?

Pins 3 & 4 will work. But read this as well. I picked this up At MikePetro 's blog http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/mikepetro/6802-dna40.html.

"If you are accustomed to snipping off the fire button to save space, you will have to do things differently now. One option is to cut the button off as before then solder 2 jumper wires onto the board. The other option is to just pop the top cover off the switch, removing the button but leaving the base. The reason is because there are 4 terminals on that switch, 2 terminals on each side of the switch are by default an electrical short or path. The board uses this path, so if you totally remove the switch you are breaking the circuit."

But if space inst an issue, then just solder your new button to pins 3 & 4, and you're set.
