Hi Everyone,

A couple of weeks ago someone told me that they were able to quit smoking using the V2 Cig. I had tried an electronic cigarettee a few years ago and after a day it went into the trash after a few days. I was curious enough to order a few of the disposables from the V2 site. Technology has come a long way! I thought I would use them to help me cut back, but after 3 days I was hooked! I ordered a starter set and it should be here in a couple of days. Because I ran out of the disposables and did not want to wait for my kit to come, I went to Walgreens and bought the Blu starter kit along with some extra cartomizers. I love the vanilla flavor, but have been sorely dissapointed in the battery life and the time a cartomizer lasts.

I wonder if I am doing something wrong? I was a pack and a half to 2 PAD smoker so I guess I need a lot and this is just not cutting it. I really feel like for the first time I can quit and I wonder if I am doing it too much or sucking too hard or something. I believe the nicotine level on these is 16? With the v2 disposable I got the throat hit and was really satisfied. Is it just the Blu quality that is bad?

Has anyone had any experience with the Electronic Cigarettes | E Cigarette | V2 Cigs ? I am so excited to get my kit. For the first time since I was pregnant with my daughter I think I can quit!! I am down to 5 analogs a day! Yea me! I just need a little more then I am getting to get me over the edge.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to ECF !! I don't have a V2 but have used a Volt which is the same, different vendor, different name...:) It's a nice PV but for a 1 1/2 to 2 pad smoker the battery may be a little weak, lot of recharging. (I was a 1 1/2 pad puffer) Never tried a blu but from the reviews I seen here, they can be that bad. Check out the Volts at SmoklessImage, they have a new one out with a larger battery that could last you most of the day.

p.s. Congrats on switching to vaping!! :)

Alliebar: First, welcome to ECF from one newb to another. I think you've just experienced the same thing with Blu that a lot of people have. Neither the Blu nor any of the other convenience store e-cigs deliver anywhere close to the capacity they claim. I bought an Infiniti disposable while waiting for my KGO to get here. The Infinit was supposed to equal 2 packs of cigs. Ha! Not even close - more like 1/2 pack at best.

I don't have any experience with the V2. Whatever helps you quit is a good thing.

This forum is an amazing resource and the people here are just unbelievable. Welcome to the adventure.

Greetings from Canada! Welcome to ECF!

I started the same way and got down to 2 - 4 cigarettes a day with the small batteries. When I got the eGo (clone) and the Star Dust I was able to ditch those last few. I wanted longer battery life and more and stronger vapor. The eGo did it for me.

The eGo Twist is on the market now for about $30 for the 1000mah battery (also comes in slightly smaller 650mah). You may be able to get a refund from Blu or V2 or both if you find something else that satisfies you.

There will be many suggestions here for you to consider. I can only say what worked for me. YMMV

Relax, Enjoy!

thanks! I think I will order the volt or ego as well. Can you do your own refills on these as well? That will be my next thing I am sure I will have questions about....

I forgot to mention that the Twist was a variable voltage. It's not meant for high voltage vaping, but it can hold a set voltage so that it does not get weaker as the battery does.

The eGo and Twist (and many others) are a 510 thread and can use anything that has 510 thread. I'm not sure which thread the Volt has. Regardless, they can all be refilled. The Star Dust has a screw top so that you can fill it (1.6ml) right from the bottle. There are numerous other attachments that all have their pros and cons.

Be careful if you decide to get the Twist. It's a decent e-cig, but you can't just have one Twist and think you've covered your bases. The Twist will take several hours to recharge and you have to think about what you're going to do if it's recharging or, God forbid, it breaks down. You dont want to charge any battery while you're sleeping.

The blu can be, and is, that bad. The V2 is marginally better, but it's not the same as a Volt. For a mini-ecig, the Volt is by far the best one going. You can buy empty cartridges to fill yourself and you can work up to a larger battery when you're ready, as they have several sizes. The X2 battery should last you 12 hours between charges and you can save your little batteries for when you are out and about.

If you want to get serious, you can skip that mini-cigartte stuff and take Dana A's advice and get a kGo kit. You can see it here:

It costs less than your V2 or a volt and is better than either one. It's about the size of a Sharpie marker.
