► Pioneer4you IPV-V200 Mod; First impressions:
Pioneer4You iPV V200 Mod is built in sturdy zinc alloy with anodized aluminum and ABS finishes. The Mod uses two 18650 batteries for a maximum output of 200W. The Mod is served by the chipest YIHI SX531 which has been made waterproof by a specific insulating treatment.

My first thought was; "Wow" on this Mod I can install large atomizers without protrusions. Despite its overall dimensions not exactly contained, the Mod offers good portability thanks to the oval and ergonomic shape, the empty weight is only 135g.
If you still don't understand ... I really enjoyed receiving this sample, again thanks Sourcemore.

► Pioneer4you IPV-V200 Mod; How it is made:
The central body of the "I" -shaped Mod is made of sturdy zinc alloy, lateral weight has been saved with the doors / batteries that are made of plastic material, covered with elegant imitation leather decoration.

Pioneer4you IPV-V200 Mod has a slightly recessed central part on the front that houses; the 3 round-shaped adjustment buttons (fire, + and -), a small but very bright 0.96 "color TFT screen and the USB-C type balanced charging socket.
On the back appears the same design with the recessed central part containing the large IPV lettering.

The top of the Mod houses a huge 510 threaded cup that is screwed to the frame via two Torx screws. The gold / plated pin is spring loaded. The useful diameter for installing atomizers is considerable and would be 35mm if it weren't for the two central grooves that limit the size to about 32mm in the central area. Not bad since even inserting the huge 35mm diameter Steam Crave Aromamizer Ragnar RDTA the small central protrusion is not noticeable and does not bother.

On the side there are the two 18650 batteries protected by two very light plastic doors each equipped with two powerful magnets that prevent any abnormal movement and make this unit quite solid to handle.

► Pioneer4you IPV-V200 Mod; Trick:
We come now to the biggest and perhaps only flaw of this Mod that some skilled reviewers (before me) have highlighted and solved in a simple way. In fact, I too could see that in the lower part of the compartment / batteries there are two "blocks" of plastic material, one for each side. These "blocks" make it virtually impossible to insert and remove batteries without ruining their wraps. So the first thing to do was to remove them with a sharp cutter. A truly recommended operation within everyone's reach, as the image below shows.

IPV-V200 Mod is equipped with the simplified YiHi SX531 Chip, YiHi is famous for discreet precision and reliability, the chip has been made waterproof and therefore protected from fluids through a special sealing process that safeguards its integrity.

► Pioneer4you IPV-V200 Mod; Curve Function:
The YiHi SX531 Chip does not have TC, TCR, Bypass or other modes, however it is particularly effective with the only expected mode (VW) thanks to 3 preset curves:
• Soft: The power supplied is initially reduced to about 50% of the set power, and then slowly increases up to 100%
• Normal: The power delivered is the one actually set for the entire time of use
• Strong: The delivered power is initially increased up to 150% of the set power and then slowly decreases to the actual set value.

In addition, 3 other customizable curves can be selected according to personal preferences:
• SXi-EQ1
• SXi-EQ2
• SXi-EQ3

► Pioneer4you IPV-V200 Mod; Operation Guide:
YiHi SX531 interfaces to a sharp and colorful 0.96 "Display that shows a complete set of information.
• Power on: 5 clicks on the Fire button
• Lock / Unlock: Press the Fire key 3 times in a row.
• The power regulation is activated by pressing the "+" key and is adjusted with the "+" and "-" keys from 5 up to 200W with steps of 1W at a time
• Curve Adjustment: Press the "-" key and select the 3 preset profiles (Soft, Normal and Strong) or the 3 customizable profiles (SXi-EQ1, SXi-EQ2, SXi-EQ3)
• Puff reset: Press the Fire and "+" keys together.
• Brightness and Mode / Off: Press the "+" and "-" keys together to select "Brightness" or "System Off".

Final conclusions:
The simplified YiHi SX531 circuit delivers power only in VW mode, in this mode it is widely adjustable and well manageable thanks to the 3 preset curves and 3 customizable curves. Lacks many modes such as the TC however YiHi SX531 maintains the qualities of reliability that distinguish YiHi. The "waterproofing" process the chip has been subjected to is worth underlining.
The indications shown on the Display seem precise, the batteries are well managed and the DC-DC storage converter with an output voltage higher than the input allows the Step-Up with a semi-discharged battery. I liked the Design of the Mod and its finishes, except for a small detail that I highlighted during the review, this detail could annoy many even if it is easily solved in a few minutes as I have shown with the images.

those pieces of plastic may have been designed to block batteries, yet they are useless and harmful.
