I joined ECF to do research and figure out how to convert my old Savinelli Rustic Estate pipe into a ePipe. (http://i588.photobucket.com/albums/ss330/elektrobargain/pipe p/14_zps97ddddc9.jpg)
I love the look of this pipe but I don't plan on smoking tobacco any more - it's been just sitting in a canister with some pipe gear and I thought I'd drill it out, drop an 18350 battery in it and then pop this carto on it: T1 SCT Single Coil Cartomizer Tank. Too bad about the brass on the carto but I love the shape and I think it will keep theme with the original pipe. Maybe I can torch the brass or something...
My current problem is how to mount a button. I originally wanted a spring button on the bowl but I've watched SW FL Mike's videos (All Vapor No Smoke) and didn't really want to create a cap on top of the bowl like he does. I also don't want to use a button up on the shank by the carto like I've seen on some. I need to find out if the battery can charge through the 510 like my little vision spinner does and, if so, I can solder the battery in, put some kind of cover into the bowl to hide the battery and then put a button on the cover or onto the side of the bowl or something... If I have to remove the battery to charge it, that complicates things.
Anway, noob post 1 of 5 down...
