OK Heather's fans out there.. I just got a bottle of this because I needed a break from my overly sweet flavors and I figured this was the best route LOL..

Now after trying it.. It sorta tastes to me like the way cigar smoke smells. I've never smoked a cigar but I've been around many people who have and the taste reminds me of that. Now I read that this flavor is much better after steeping for awhile and I guess I'm wondering what changes as far as flavor?

It's not bad now, something I need to adjust to mostly due to my current peanut butter and chocolate flavors..

Anywho, any thoughts are much appreciated :)

All the HHV steeping info you could possibly want, and then some, from the HHV Army experts themselves:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/hhv-army/374706-hhv-juice-steeping-information.html

For specific recommendations on PB steeping times, back out to the main HHV Army page and check in on the threads for tobacco juice reviews or ask your questions on THe Big Thread.

Please visit us, and welcome!

P.s. I have yet to try PB, that and the new Heavenly Army juices are the only NeTs of theirs I am unfamiliar with at this time.

PB changes in a week or so. Check the thread Carbon linked, but my personal opinion is it is about right as rain in ten days. It darkens noticeably when it is ready for action. A very tasty blended light tobacco. Should be a bit of cigar from the Caribbean, but also sort of a Caribbean fruity early taste and a creamy/buttery late taste to me. I like it a lot. It should change for you as it matures....

Pirate's Booty, oh how I love thee...

Without a doubt it's my absolute must-have tobacco vape, if I were only to buy one, ever again, this is it. I have hopes of getting a close DIY at some point, however that also involves extraction which without knowledge of the tobacco's used and the process, it's not going to happen to the level of success I'd hope for, sigh...

Though I have come up with some pretty interesting bases, still a work in progress...

Anyway, your question, hmmmm, yes it's much more like a true tobacco, semi-sweet cigar maybe or a dryer pipe, definitely not the typical sweet tobacco ish vape. If letting it steep a little does not work for you, the above suggestion of a little added sweetness might help, a few drops of Ethyl Maltol diluted 10% per 10ml would probably be ideal...

Wish you luck :)

This post made me laugh. Everyone makes fun of my HHV rules for steeping. Caps off, droppers out after a good shaking. Firm talking to (just to let em know who is in charge). Locked in dark closet for 48 hours. Droppers back in caps on. Another good shaking and then another dark closet for 4 weeks. All the juice I've done this with has been fantastic. But you got to talk to em once in a while and shake em awake.

Thank you all so much for the replies..

I was never one for tobacco flavors even as a smoker.. I smoked menthol because everything else tasted like dirt to me.. Maybe now I can begin to appreciate the richer tobacco flavors and start with this one :p

When I first tried it I was not a fan.. Yet I keep going back to it and I'm either getting used to the flavor or its getting better sitting in my nova LOL

I'll probably finish off whats left in my nova and let the rest of the bottle steep for a couple weeks and check back on it

What color should I look for as far as the liquid to know when its done? Right now its a golden brownish color, similar to a light honey or melted butter :)

The color will darken a little more as it steeps. I give my HHV tobaccos at least 2 weeks steeping time to mature enough for my tastes, but they will continue to change for up to 2 months. It's nothing dramatic, but they will change. Honestly, they are good out of the box.

You should have the option of adding menthol to any HHV juice, and I highly recommend doing so. I really enjoy Legend, but I decided to try it with some menthol, and it took it to a whole new level.

OK so an update.. It's been about two weeks since I posted this and my bottle of PB has been happily resting in a box until yesterday.. I set it up in a carto tank and I have to say that now the flavor is just perfect.. The weird harshness of flavor it had at first isn't there anymore and now it's very smooth and may very well become my all-day vape LOL

It's creamy and slightly sweet on inhale and a nice earthy flavor on exhale.. All around a good flavor.. I will most definitely be ordering a couple more bottles here probably tonight and Heather's is now officially on my list of fave vendors :D

Welcome to the Army. :). Probably politically incorrect to say that but I have an excuse.....only two sips from my morning coffee as I type this. Thank god spell check is awake. ;)

Anyway, glad the steeping has worked for you. Yes, HHV needs the time to become magical. When it does.... Well you already know now!

If you like it, vape it. There is no rule about steeping. Some of these flavors change considerably over time but that doesn't mean they all change for the better according to your personal taste. Some enjoy these juices young. After a long steep (over two months) many HHV juices become much more dry and tobacco-forward. It's a matter of vaping them periodically throughout several weeks to find when it hits that sweet spot for you.
