I did an impulse buy for black friday and picked up a Copper Dragon by cigreen. Part of what interested me in the mod is how the switch works, it has a magnet that connects directly to the negative side of the battery and a second magnet within the switch housing. Sadly, I cant find many reviews on the device, and the only other device that I know of that has a similar function, is the 4 nine. My readings on the 4nine were issues with the positive end of the unit (hybrid top cap and direct battery connection) and not so much the battery to magnet connection itself. Does anyone have any thoughts or warning on a switch like this? I only have a stingray x clone and red copper stingray to make comparisons to. I only have one other cigreen product which is a plume clone that is probably one of my better atty's in terms of overall quality.

Chipotle.
One of the issues people ran in to with the 4nine is that with continued supersubohm use over time the magnet that is attached to the battery gets hot which is not something magnets particularly like, this causes the magnets to eventually lose about 50% of their initial push and results in a much weaker switch. Mostly this affected clones, but there are a few reports of it happening with the authentic 4nine as well. Anyone who shorted the top cap/positive of the 4nine was using it incorrectly plain and simple, the problem with that is that when it happens it usually gets the magnets so hot that they completely lose all magnetism and are rendered useless but I would not particularly worry about any of that happening with the Copper Dragon since it is a different design.

I have not seen pictures of the Copper Dragon that were not manufacturers photos, so I would be interested to see exactly how the whole mod and switch is constructed so if you're able to take some nice pictures and post them here that would be awesome.

So more of an issue with deep subohms. I should be okish then as I tend to stay above .3 for most of my builds...only my quad set up goes down to .25ish or so. Never a vent or short have I had, knock on wood. As soon as I get it I'll disassemble and snap some shots. Seems like a solid device...i was torn between that and the CLT mod that just came out...not to mention the sale that in just saw on the super t site.

I have a couple of fortune mods with that style switch. I just read the other day that they recommend not going below .5. Before reading that I had been running the 18650 tube at .25 with no adverse effects. YMMV

I suppose I could build a few day time/work time atty's to .5 or so and save the lower ohm stuff for my stingray when I get home. Though I prefer blowing the clouds at work, and keeping the flavor for home.

by the by, jluc; you were right about the copper stingray, its fantastic. I'm spoiled, I don't know if a clone will ever satisfy me the way this thing does. I just dont like leaving the house with it. ;-p It's my precious.
