I guess the reason I was curious about mods was because after reading and learning about them they seemed to fit what I wanted and needed. Ya see I'm on disability and spend alot of time at home. I visit friends about 1-3 times a week with short errands here and there about 4 days a week. So I ordered a passthrough for home use. (Hasnt arrived yet, maybe tomorrow.) A reasonably sized mod doesnt bother me. The Rio grande is about my limit. If its a smaller tube design its ok,but the large ones look like.....well a big dildo. I just cant, in good conscious, be suckin on one of those things all day. That's just me. I like the bottom feeders and have done a fair amount of research on alot of them. (YouTube has helped me alot in these endeavors). So I know most of the pros and cons that come with working one.
I could spend maybe $ 150 on a good mod. Hell I'd even pay someone to make me one. If they knew what they were doing and I reserved the right to ask around about the finished mod. But for $150 it damn well not be a simple piece of crap.
I just see alot of the people on youtube doing reviews on GOOD mods and they always talk about better flavor, longer batt life, etc.....etc...
Again,my Bloog is fine.It does what it's supposed to do. But if I can have something "better" and can afford it,why not get it? The Bloog will always be there for certain situations.

Somewhere out there
I didn't get the mod thing either, loved my slim ecigs and still do. BUT I did get a 3.7v GLV 2 super mini and it is great! Flavor is more pronounced and the one little batt inside lasts me all day. It also has a lifetime warranty, someday I may try the 5v just so I know what it is like, but I really like the GLV SM, cool little mod, it is tiny but packs a punch. I still use my slim G6's too, but fun to switch on and off and use different types. bnrk

What happens to us is that we start adding up just how MUCH (very much!) money we're saving from not smoking, and it gives us that heady feeling of having all this money to spend on e-cig "toys" if we want to and still be saving money over buying cigarettes! Ha. It's a slippery slope. I am saving gobs of money from my cigarette budget, but I'm spending a LOT of it on my e-cig stuff. But.....for me, that's okay, too. I raised two kids by myself, and the pvs and all the fixin's that I'm buying for myself are really the first time in about 20 years that I've spent ANY money on myself. I'm having the time of my life....and I'm still saving money. It's just the treat I'm giving myself these days.

I hope you get the mod of your dreams for Christmas. You deserve it.

If you want some thing nice, and I mean NICEView attachment 63798

Contact David over @ supertmanufacturing he's right down the street (less than a 5min drive) from me and makes the damn nicest PV's I've EVER seen. I just can't afford one on unemployment or I'd have one.

Thanks Cav. I looked at his site and some youtube vids of it in action. I will most likely buy this as my first mod first thing next month.

Your bloog are a great pv, if you want something better, then it must be a Variable Voltage one. A provari won't dissapoint you, IMHO. After trying a multiple mod setups, I stick with my provari and reo grand, sold everything else. My ego batts are sitting there fully charged just in case something bad happened.

If the Bloog is doing everything you want, you don't need a mod. If you find yourself being frustrated or unsatisfied, you identify what is important to change, and select a mod accordingly. Every design has it's trade-offs. Long lasting batteries are heavier and bigger. VV is more complicated circutry, and more can go wrong. Tanks leak. etcetera, etcetera. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...884-explain-mods-me-please-2.html#post3025791
