Hi, I've been using my eGo-C Twist with a MEGA Atomizer Body and a 2.4ohm atty. I normally vape between 3.7v (in the morning) and then turn it up though the day to around 4.2v. Yesterday, I noticed that it had started to get a little harder to inhale and also I heard a little bit of a gurgle every now and then, but I thought I must be inhaling on it too hard and I put it down to user error.
Today though, I noticed that the gurgling had got much worse and I even managed to get liquid up though the mouthpiece as if it was a drinking straw! I decided to investigate there and then when that happened as I knew something was seriously wrong.
To my disappointment, about 1.5ml of my liquid had leaked out of the tank and had flooded everywhere inside the body. I stripped it down and cleaned everything, inspecting each bit as I went.
When I got to the cartridge, I noticed that the hole where the atty spike goes in had widened and the plastic around the hole had distorted. I knew it sometimes got hot while I vaped but I didn't think it was damaging it'self in the process!

I know that the cartridges are cheap as anything but, why make a product which can't handle that much heat? surly there are much better plastics (or other materials) out there which would do the job better?

Does anyone have any suggestions of better cartridges (a chrome or glass one would be cool) or any advice to give regarding cartridges?

I have tried Cartridges, DCT's and the Long wicked clearomizer from TW (Torpedo Chrome Clearomizer) but nothing seems to be just "fill and vape" and maintenance free.

I've never had the button get stuck and the caps I use are the ones which came with the cartridge (hard plastic) I can vape for about 10min before I don't want any more for about 20min though and I have noticed I can inhale until the blinking light turns on (10 sec overload safety cut off)

Yea I think we figured out why the caps are melting.
Power hitter here! That may heat up the atty a bit too much me thinks.
What fluid you vaping there? Must be very tasty!
