plastic kinda rubbing alcohol flavor with the nova (2.4 and 2.8 ohms ) with twist at 4.0- 4-8

Anyone have problems with the nova with 2.4 head on a twist? it seems when I'm at 4.8 to about 4.0 i get a plastic kind of taste. Is that too little resistance?​

my kanger t3 works fine, just my nova, using apple liqua ejuice.

The V1 nova's had burnt rubber taste, because they were burning rubber. Probably not to many of those running around anymore though.
4.2 would be your max for a 4ohm head.

So Does this mean I need to get heads with higher resistance? 4ohm and above

I dont remember seeing any 4 ohm heads. But, here's the deal... there's no need to go for the whole 'more is better' concept in vaping. Yes, many people carry on about 'oh im vaping at 6 volts!'... well ya, maybe with a 4ohm head...dont fall for that balogney. The voltage/ohms can be hard concept to grasp but high volts on a high ohm is the same as low volts on low ohm. It has to do more with how many watts are being put out.
IE
4.2 v with 2.4 ohm head = 7.35 watts
3.0 v with 1.2 ohm head = 7.5 watts (lower volts and lower ohm but slightly stronger vape)
Its one reason you see mods coming out with watt settings, because thats what is the real equalizer.
google 'ohms calculater' and play around with it. Most atomizers are good between 7-9 watts.
Personally, i build my stuff between 1 to 1.3 ohms and vape 3-3.6 volts.
(oh and above I meant 4.2v would be the most for a --- 2.4 --- ohm head)

Oh ya btw novas are good, but usually much better rebuilt... dont throw yours away, keep them and learn to re-build them I think youll find a big difference.

I gave up on novas a while ago, I have gone through 5 total and about 20 heads. 3 were vision novas and 2 were real authentic vivi novas. All of them tasted like burnt crap. That was changing out all the heads, doing the quick fixes (removing a wick, removing the metal bushing yadda yadda etc etc...) I wish you luck on getting it to taste good. Mine all taste like crap on every mod at every setting. Too bad because everyone raves about them but I guess I'll never know.

Have you tried a carto tank with a 3 ohm carto? That's my favorite. It allows me to turn the voltage up or down as much as I please.

No not yet. I just bought a reactor tank though. Maybe I could try the 3ohms.

I feel like that happened to me, but I can't tell for sure. Maybe I just got used to the flavor, and can't really taste it anymore. Like, that plastic/burn/bland flavor's been there all along I just had no point of reference. it's bumming me out. I loved my mini novas. Never had a problem in the beginning.

But low and behold, the moment I declare their awesomeness, all my flavor seems to go weak sauce. And my faith in them is shattered.
