I are confused, how is this battleship?

The game we used to play made you fire around a "hit" until you sunk one of the ships.

This one is just a battleship....and it's a 1 hitter sink :D

Woody had it hidden on R18.....took a little bit to find all the bits and pieces after the hit and discover the source of the hit was JJ.

NOT been a good afternoon but I got it fixed and running scans. :)

This really made up for it!!!

Computer issues are a nightmare! I battled my own the other day.....getting rid of all the bloatware that comes on premade computers......loading a fresh clean operating system and then trying to figure out what wireless card they had installed so I could get the correct drivers.......they just don't wanna make it easy!

I'm glad you got yours all fixed.....hope the scans come back with an all clear after the fixin!

Bumping this forward for any poopies that didn't see it :)

Hey Got Vapes family ....

I was hoping to ask a favor of you .....

We did such a spectacular job helping Caca's photo get to the judges and I was hoping you may do something similar for me ...

My hubby has applied for a $150,000 grant to start an organic aquaponics farm. This has been his dream for a long time. He needs at least two hundred fifty votes by 10/17 for his application to be reviewed by the panel.

https://www.missionmainstreetgrants.com/business/detail/11465

It only takes a few clicks, but you have to use your facebook, twitter, linked-in, or google account to verify that the same people don't vote more than once. They don't ask you for any personal information, and the "cyber identity" you use is not shared or visible to others.

Thank you for lending a helping hand!

Thanks. :)

Just a thought: The Classic Battleship game would be a really cool idea for a game with multiple (smaller) prizes.

For example, the board would have 5 battleships...

1st ship is 2 spaces (1st place, grand prize)
2nd ship is 3 spaces (2nd place, small prize)
3rd ship is 3 spaces (3rd place, small prize)
4th ship is 4 spaces (4th place, smaller prize)
5th ship is 5 spaces (5th place, smallest prize)

The one who gets the final "hit" sinks the ship and wins the prize. This could be calculated by the post time stamps.

Of course the prizes would have to be arranged in a way that is equal to your weekly contest now...

For example:

1st: The Kit, or mod (etc.)
2nd/3rd: 36ml FLuX Nectar
4th: 2x 6ml FLuX Nectar
5th: 1x 6ml FLuX Nectar/pen light

...or any combination.

This would provide multiple winners and a fun chance for everybody. :)

I think it's plenty of work for the helpers as it is, and I am grateful for the chance to win anything.

Thanks GotVapes and all the wonderful helpers. I loved the little bit of variety the Battleship board offered. It was a fun week.

You're right, it is a lot of work for these great helpers!

But the only thing different from this Battleship and the usual Numbers pickin' game is that the winning spot is pre-picked as opposed to leaving the winning "number" to random.org.

I am just introducing the idea of a fun game with multiple winners while retaining the same prizes and expanding GotVapes brand awareness.

We are definitely open to hearing thoughts of different styles of games. We've had several ideas over the years and trying to get some of them to work is what is the real kicker  By all means, please feel free to bounce any ideas our way and if we can figure a way to work it that makes it fair and not overly exhausting on our end (as some ideas we had toyed around with were) we'd love to get the variety......keep things interesting on both sides, if you will ;)

Main reason we have to pick the Battleship number ahead of time is that Random.org doesn't have the letter portion available in their generator.....only numbers :(

Battleship is a great idea for a game!

I apologize if my idea of multiple winners is exhausting on your end. I'm just trying to give examples of a new fun game with equal prizes and multiple winners.

If you search for the winning pre-determined "hits", the posts would be ordered chronologically.

This contest is definitely one of the most active on ECF, with the most participants. Just throwing out ideas here to ensure continuation and to keep things fresh. :)

First off,
Thanks for the great contests.
The battleship was fun.
I don't have an issue with how the winning alphanumeric selection was made. I'm happy you have these contests.
I googled and could not find a alphanumeric randon generator that only did one selection. They all seem to generate strings of alphanumeric selections.
The work around this is to use a random letter generator for picking A-Z. They are available. They are used to teach kids their letters.
Then you use the random number generator to pick the number.
You combine both of these to get a final selection.
You will only have 26 columns, but you can have as many numbers rows as you want.
Thanks once again to GotVapes for the prizes and the helpers for their work to administer these contests.
