I got out for the first time yesterday afternoon, Took the walker amd Mrs Max down to the corner and back.

I was walking down the street when I was accosted by a particularly dirty and shabby-looking homeless man who asked me for a couple of dollars for dinner.
I took out my wallet, extracted ten dollars and asked,"If I give you this money, will you buy some beer with it instead of dinner?"
"No, I had to stop drinking years ago," the homeless man replied.
"Will you use it to go fishing instead of buying food?" I asked.
"No, I don't waste time fishing," the homeless man said.."I need to spend all my time trying to stay alive."
"Will you spend this on hunting equipment?" I asked.
"Are you NUTS!" replied the homeless man. "I haven't gone hunting in 20 years!"
"Well," I said, "I'm not going to give you money. Instead, I'm going to take you home for a shower and a terrific dinner cooked by my wife."
The homeless man was astounded. "Won't your wife be furious with you for doing that?
I replied, "Don't worry about that. It's important for her to see what a man looks like after he has given up drinking, fishing and hunting."
That's why I look like a homeless bum now days. I have to show this to my wife.
Hey Poopies! Max glad to hear you up and about. Trust me moving is good. The longer you lay about the longer it's going to take to get rolling again. They proved that laying around like they used to tell you to do is BAD. I know it hurts. But moving is good it tells your body what needs to be healed.

And getting moving is a great way to... ummm... "get thing's moving" if ya get my drift.

I try and move around some but can only do so much at a time, if I go to far with it the increasing pain will let me know.
Using the cane today I was able to move around more and was thinking on getting one with a seat so maybe I could go out for short shopping trips.

Hey Max! I'm so glad you're up and around. Remember though, slow and easy wins the race and doing to much one day because you feel good sometimes makes you feel terrible the next day. Slow and easy.
