Hi Folks,
Can someone please suggest a good carto for my 6V GLV?
I'm burning through 4.5 ohm smok Techs on the first button press. Tried DC at 1.5-2 ohm, but results are inconsistent w/ random non-firing and burn-out.
Just frustrated with wasted juice and that horrible burn flavor. All the cartos I've tried work fine on a 3.7 Provape, but I like the 6V better.

Thanks very much for any help.

The GLV is actually a 5 volt, if it is the larger one. It sounds like you don't have enough liquid in the carto. I use these two from Madvapes at 4.7 volts on my Darwin and don't have a problem as long as I keep them good and wet. They usually last 4 - 5 days before they start getting funky.

Dual Coil Clear Mega XL Cartomizer

Clear eGo Mega Dual Coil Clear Cartomizer

Note: the XL's hold about 50 drops and the eGo's hold about 60 drops. (large, standard drops)

But one of the best cartos that I vaped consistently at 5 volts (you will need a $3 510 to 801 adapter) were these. They would last 7 - 9 days:

Black 801 Cartomizer, 2.5 ohm

These hold about 30 drops.

Hope this helps.

you can actually get a 6v glv these days. not sure what ikenvape carries, but when the doors open tomorrow, i'd look there for hv cartos

I wasn't aware of that. The reason you don't see many 6 volt models, is most of us found that it actually was too hot. If it is 6 volt, then that could be part of the problem. I've used dual coils on my 5 volt back-up with no problems and got really nice warm vapor. 6 volt is too problematic for me.

There is a new product from nhaler.com that will turn 18650 mechanical models into a variable voltage model and I believe it costs about $40 with a 2 year warranty. I'm not sure if it would work with your straight 6 volt GLV but you might want to inquire.

Thanks so much for the help.

My GLV is indeed the 6V version. When it works, it works beautifully, but I'm beginning to think the 6V is a cart killer.
I just tried something....
"Warmed up" a 4.5 SmokTech on the 3.7 Provape for a while, then switched the carto over to the GLV @ 6V. Just like old times there, good flavor, TH and vapor. Have to pulse the button, but no burn.
Yet.

Thanks again for the suggestions.
