That's the reason why we need strict moderation here as well. It's not North Korea standards but at least have a thought for those that struggled and spent their time to do their homework by reading at least 2 years worth of threads and then ask intelligent questions to the veterans instead of "Where can I get this and that, please please please".

Well said. I don't mind helping people. In fact, I like to help people that asks questions.

I think the biggest pain is not with asking questions, but asking questions that are based on nothing but their own needs. I welcome questions and recommend people to ask if they don't know, but some newbies just don't get the idea that they have to do their own share of research before opening up a thread. Many threads are actually the same baseless questions, taboo questions that were explicitly told to avoid in the rules. I have to say I think I did flout that once due to my ignorance. But after reading the rules, asking questions came with more prompt and specific replies. The first step to getting anything they want is actually reading the darn rules.

I'm in a unique position because I'm stationed in the US. At least for another year-ish. I've had a lot of people PM me for help with stuff like shipping, questions etc.

Apart from one or two good folks, everyone else have been ridiculously rude and ungrateful. Never heard a word from them again the moment they get their answers or hell, even package. Currently not a fan of many folks in this sub-forum, not gonna lie.

Oh no la. I wasn't expecting any fan fare or extravagant show of gratitude. Quite the opposite. If anything, I think extending basic common courtesy to fellow sub-forumers is impt.

I mean, maybe I'm a tad idealistic. But the fact that we are vapers in the red dot makes it all the more impt that we have a solid community that treats each other with a little more dignity than just using other people as resources for getting their own stuff. (Plus not do anything to jeopardize anyone else of course).

But. Shrug. We'll get that some day.
