I don't have one of those, but every APV I have is Nipple up towards the direction where you vape from. If there's a little coil-spring on the bottom, the nipple-less flat part of the battery goes against that.
Still you might want to double check but that's how it goes with the five at my house.

Thanks, I felt pretty dumb having to ask that question.....this is my 1st step "out of the box" from Triton.....in other words, my 1st upgrade!
It didn't come with a manual or instructions? I couldn't find them on innokin's site. The cool fire 1 does have reverse battery protection, however. I'm guessing if you do it wrong, it will either let you know, or just won't fire up till you put it in correctly.
A video I saw shows it positive in first towards the top, negative at the open bottom, where you screw on the negative end cap.
Amazing that this important element isn't more clearly indicated.

Batts will probably have about 80% charge, maybe a little less, batteries usually ship this way.
Oh no, they don't include a manual. Apparently, if you are upgrading to this they think you don't need one....LOL
I would contact Innoken. I see the Sure Fire ships with the manual from some sites. Strange it isn't on innokin's website.
And yes, charge the batteries. For many reasons, batteries usually do not come 100% charged.
That is a neat unit. I hope you like it.
Positive should be up towards the drip tip and most batteries come 40% charged however they will rapidly discharge with colder temeratures
