That's pretty much it in a nutshell. I have one from totally wicked, it has room in the metal case for two carts, and an atty, along with the slot for the batt. Only room for one batt. So the goal is have one ready to vape, take your spare carts, atty and batt, head out for the day. When one batt runs empty, swap batt, continue vaping, rinse and repeat. It should charge 4 batts on one PCC charge. I still carry a 5ml bottle of nic juice to top off my carts though.

Can somebody explain a pcc to me? I thought it was a charger that charges the battery..it in turn the PCC is charged at home. So basicly a portable battery charger? Besides dishes..what else does it do?

You're a tough crowd, dear. What else does it do? =)

You have it right. One charges the unit at home (or wherever he/she has access to a USB port), the PCC in turn charges batteries. Some will recharge a battery 5 times before the unit itself needs a charge.

It also serves as a place to carry/store/manage atomizers, batteries, etc. It's sort of cool too because it resembles a pack of analogs. So, for those of us that have the habit of reaching into the top pocket for a smoke it's a familiar act.

Here's a "what else" that a PCC *should do*, however. I have yet to see a PCC that has a *bin* to store liquid though. Doesn't that seem like the natural order of things? I mean, is it so hard to visualize this sort of thing? A slot inside the PCC that will house a day's worth of e-liquid? Sheesh.

I was confused to say the least! I kept seeing things like it lasts for 6 charges ect. I thought that meant you could only charge it up at home 6 times before you bought another PCC.
I also wondered if it charged more then one batt at a time..another thought I read..slots for 5 batts.
Thanks for the replies, the rumor is eastmall is getting ready to sell them for 901's. I don't leave home all that much and I do have a car charger..so it's not something I really need..but!
Richie, are you sure it doesn't do anything else?

Thanks Junebug, You are sure on a steep learning curve!

Talen..good to know! I haven't seen any helio's but there are those white vans..

Others filled you in... a bit more info....

I had one for a week before I read the directions and then was more confused... :) Lost in translation, but I finally figured it out. 3 little lights on the side. One is for the internal battery - it goes from red to green when fully charged. One for if you aren't getting enough electricity to the unit (never had that one light up) and the other one to indicate when the ecig batt is charged - it goes from red to off, but blinks in the process.

One battery slot - for ecig batts. Other slots for carts and attys. Takes about 4 hours to charge the internal battery. Then unhook it, take it with you. I did a test - and wrote out the results in another post here - like 47mins first charge, then :39, 1:10, 1:15, 1:25 and 2 hours on the 6th charge where the light never went off but the batt had some charge. I also have a Janty that doesn't have the slot for the manual batt, but it will have when I get around to it :)

I am confused too. I saw where some say, they have to make adjustments when they get it. Someone said it wouldn't hold a manual 510 because of the button, and you would have to take it apart, and cut slot into it so it would work. Then saw somewhere else that the battery isn't long enough and you have to put some kind of filler/pad/foam in the top to push on battery to hold it down to charge.
On a different question.... the passthroughs that you use while at the computer...why does the 510 have a battery pack looking thing on it, while the penstyle or m401's etc. don't.?

I have bought 2 PCC's (one a couple months ago, one last week) and both had the cutout so you can put manual batteries in. Very big deal if you're someone like me, who drips exclusively. By the way, I didn't buy a second one because it wore out, I'm just addicted to buying their crap and having two makes me happy.

As for the 510 passthrough, it houses a battery that is charged by the USB, all your power comes from the battery I assume. Not sure how that is in comparison to the other models, I have not owned a passthrough for them.

First question: The PCC I have accepts both manual and automatic batteries. If you need one for a manual battery, be sure the one you are buying has the slot so you don't have to file one yourself. TW's have the slot.

Second question: Yes, after time, I found I needed to add some padding to the lid to push the battery down far enough to get it to charge properly. I bought some Scotch brand double-sided sticky wall hanging pads and left the paper backing one one side and stuck the other side to the lid. Works fine.

Finally, I think the passthrough batteries for some e-cigs is in the e-cig itself, just like a regular battery. But the "battery" on some 510 models is just an empty cylinder, with the actual battery connected to the passthrough wire itself.
