If you're talking about the "real" Kraken, it's a great genny but, tanks don't make vapor. The set up makes vapor. Some are easier to set up. Some provide better flavor based on air flow and top cap design. Larger air holes provide more vapor, usually at the expense of flavor. I can only assume that this may be your first Genesis atty.
Just read your post about it being a clone. I should know better than to even come to ECF anymore!

I just received my second Kraken yesterday. I set my first one up with a single mesh wick and coil. The second, I set up with the included rope wick, with a mesh topper. The Kraken is now my favorite genny. The air flow control and the reduced chamber are great. My 'gold standard' RBA, by which I evaluate everything else, has been the MM DID. But IMO, the Kraken beats it.

1. Editing title as this thread is not about the Kraken, it's deceptive.

2. Moving to Rebuildable atomizer systems as it is posted in APV Discussion

3. If it is 1:1, that would make it a counterfeit, not a clone

4. Asking a member "Who pooed in your corn flakes this morning" is not proper discussion

There is another thread about one from fasttech shorting or something. Save some money and buy the real thing.

Also, vicious ant is not selling them on fasttech or whatever, some chinese factory cloned it, sent it to fasttech and vapor joe is pimping it. That's all a clone/counterfeit needs.

Sure....1 to 1 just like everyone said the taifun was until they noticed the deck on the craptech version was chromed brass.

Its probably not actually 1:1, and they aren't selling them for the same price as the original, claiming to be the the real deal vicious ant product. That would be counterfeit. Just another cheap knockoff or clone, as we call them.

That would be Heavy's thread as well... Guess he got the short figured out... This is actually the 4th thread he has started about this RBA... WHY????

& of course...this thread...

I guess he has a hard time keeping up with his own threads, so its probably easier to just start a new one....

That's just how good the Kraken is ;)

I'm really contemplating getting another. But, I've blown my vape budget for this month... and it's a bit boring with duplicates, imho. Doubt I'd find a better gennie anywhere, tho. Dilemma!

As I don't know what kind of steel is used in the clone, I rather save up for another original. I really wonder about how "1:1" a clone really can be if they're not made out of the same SS alloy.

What I REALLY want is a Kraken hybrid. Preferably a very short one. A collaboration between Vapourart (GP Paps) and Vicious Ant would, for me, be the ultimate vaping piece. Doubt that would ever happen, but a man can dream.

Good to hear about it being good from someone other than Heavy in all 4 threads... I have read that a few people have had problems getting it set up and working good, but once they do its very favorable... I have looked into it as well. I think I am going to try one of the Kayfuns first though. Any reasons you might know of that I should choose this over one of the Kafuns? I would probably get one of the clones as the price tags are a little high for my budget right now also.

As to the whole 1:1 clones... I recently bought an Ikarus hybrid 2.1 clone and enjoy it "very" much, but 1:1 its not. In fact Venerable has dropped the price already by $15 because of it. It still vapes exceptionally well and I wouldn't get rid of it. I love the vape I get from it and the size is very small. Just what I was looking for in an hybrid. I did find where it was lacking on the 1:1 was the threading. The original has fine threads and the clone is course threaded. I bought the kick ring and 18500 tube for the original and found this out. Bummed for the $60 it cost me, but i'm sure I can sell them in the classifieds on some forum...

I'm having a hard time recommending one over the other. I personally prefer the Kraken over the KFL, but then again I prefer SS mesh over fiber wicks. Both great pieces. All down to personal preference. Had no problems setting up my Kraken. I doubt you'll have any major issues if you don't have any with the Ikarus. Compared to an Aga T2, it was cakewalk.

I do actually own an original Ikarus too. I'd say the Kraken vapes better. Or, more to my liking, is probably more correct. Not dissing the Ikarus at all. I like it a lot. Mine came with a really tight air intake, so I had to drill it out. After using the Kraken with adjustable air intake, I've come to the conclusion I like a fairly drafty draw and will have to drill out my Ikarus some more. For all I know doing so may put it on level with the Kraken. However, there does seem to be some voltage loss in the Ikarus I can't seem to figure out.

Think I have obtained my dream setup by getting a SS GP Paps for the Kraken. The combination is actually a couple of hairs shorter than the Ikarus. Who would have thought...

I have a VA Kraken and it quickly dethroned the Prometheus; much better. With dual wire rope and nextel sleeve, at deep sub ohms, the flavor is right up there with the vapor production.

Another new item that really knocks over the competition is the Origen dripper by Norbi… "unbelievable" my adjective for it, meaning super good. Its a dual post vertical coil dripper with 2 deep wells for juice and like the Kraken, has adjustable dual air holes… my my my what a dripper!
Easily holds more than 14 drops of juice at a time. I haven't measure the drip wells, but that's how much i drip each time.
