LOL. You are 100% correct concerning my patience. But I have been diligently working on that. I do hope that you realize that it was certainly not my intention to make you feel that I was being impatient with YOU. :)

Nah, I didn't get that at all :)

I'd just like to see you get a vape you are happy with, and proud of having built yourself. You might want to start out with something single-coiled and work from there. There are certain fundamentals to rebuilding it pays to become familiar with before pushing forward into more complex builds.

I totally appreciate yours and everyone's input. :)

You all rock!

You may want to ask @roxynoodle, she is one of the experts around here for those type of atomizers.

I use single and dual coils in bottom fed drippers, which eliminate tanks. You drip by squeezing the bottle next to the battery in the mod to push juice upward into the bottom fed dripper....the best of both worlds without any hassles. For more information Google Squonking with RDA

That's kind of cool.

Anyways, I decided on the black Aromamizer RDTA 6ml with two post deck.

Is there any recommended wire or wick that would go with said atomizer? Mesh Vs. cotton? certain sized wire? etc.

What type of mod do you have, and the wattage?

Are you familiar with ohm's law, how to build coils?...if not, I highly recommend watching Youtube video's and do all your coil winding calculations using Steam-Engine.Coil wrapping
I like 26 ga Kanthal, it depends on your vaping style though, not mine.

Read up on all the information you can about coil building. Hopefully using a regulated mod for starters. There is a wealth of information on this forum and also at Steam Engine.

If you want to know more about coil building I would suggest making another post in a different thread, you'll get lots of help.

Oh...I forgot the MOST important aspect...BATTERY safety...!

Make sure you have the correct batteries from a reputable supplier.

@Mooch here at ECF is the resident battery expert along with @Baditude ....please look for and read their posts and blogs.

I have a Sigelei Fuchai 200w but never go above 60 watts. I know the ohm's law and how to build basic coils though I have not even come close to perfecting it. For the most part I purchase pre-made coils but I do have a coil maker and plenty of Kanthal.
Sounds good...I like LG, Samsung, Sony.. 20 amp 18650's. I assume you're familiar with battery safety..I just noticed you have been a member since 2013...!

You know, I agree with you on the cons of dual coil. The only real reason I decided to go with dual coil is so that I assumed that with dual coil you get twice the wick and so twice the E-Liquid and so it would dry hit less.

I use 70%VG/30%PG.

I use organic Japanese cotton but for the life of me I can't find the exact item online ATM
Your reasoning for going for a dual coil setup is a bit wrong, in stead of halving the chance of a dry hit, you are actually doubling it.

actually with dual coil, if 1 coil goes dry while the other is still wet, you get a dry hit mixed in with your vape.
