Hi everybody!
I decided to try snus after coming across it in this awesome forum. I would like to use it, along with my ecig to quit analogs. On my way to work, i picked up some marlboro (rich) just to see if i might like it. One problem, me thinking that you didnt have to spit with this stuff, i swallowed a couple of times, and damn near threw up at work!

Can somebody who knows about this stuff, tell me if there is a brand that you really dont have to worry about spitting? Also a good website to buy it (for cheap!)? Also about how much, and what mg i should take? I am a 20 year smoker of full flavor menthol's, and god do i want to quit!!!

Thank you sooo much to all who respond!!!

Hi Laguna. We got a whole passel of folks here that were in the same boat with the same goal. The Marlboro is spitless, but not very good and over-priced. Try this Introductory Offer - GetSnus.com. For a buck shipping they'll send ya a sampling of Swedish snus, the real deal that the US companies are trying to copy. When you get it please post us and let us know what you think, good and bad. It really does work.

As to your reaction, it may be where you placed it. Spitless snus goes between the upper lip and gum, toward the front, generally above the canines forward. Not a strick rule or anything, but that's where the least amount of saliva is generated. The further back it goes the more drool factor and bigger gulp you'll get. Hope this helps and stick around. No strangers in these parts :).

will less tsna, no fiberglass and not fermented it is harm reduction.. as per the Dr. on the 60 minutes fluff piece it is a 90-99% reduction in harm and very safe vs. analogs.
Thanks dredbull! The sample pack i just ordered from getsnus.com (general) does it fall under the guidelines the doc on 60 mins. talked about? Thank you!

All Swedish and Danish snus is pasteurized and not fermented, which sets it apart from all the other forms of snus/chewing tobacco produced elsewhere. Healthwise, you can't do better than Scandinavian snus. Taste is a different matter.

I like the white mini portions because they are discreet and there's absolutely no need to spit if used properly. I like General mint minis and everything Fellini. Thunder Frosted minis are little nukes (8mg nicotine) so I cut them in half. But they deliver big time.

Good luck. You may even find snus to be more satisfying than cigs. Really.

Even if he is not

...but whether he is, was the question actually... (Tho I realize of course that even that is subjective, and assessment of such may vary from person to person.)

Oh, edit to add: What I'm getting at doesn't call into question the reasoning or quality of this article, or of the author himself actually. :)
