hello so im pasting the questionnaire in here and going to type my answers if anyone could take a few minutes to read and then reply with any information i would really appreciate thank you!!!!

1. How many cigarettes did you smoke or are currently smoking per day? A number is very helpful since my idea of a heavy or casual smoker could be very different from yours.

ANSWER-- I HAVE QUIT SMOKING FROM THE PEN STYLE ECIGS I HAVE NOW THE HALO G6 BUT I WANT SOMETHING THAT WILLL LAST LONGER WITHOUT NEEDING A CHARGE OR THE REFILLING OF THE SMALL CARTRIDGES I HAVE

2. Did you smoke ultra lights, lights, full flavor, filter-less, roll-your-own or cigars?

ANSWER-- FULL FLAVOR MARLBORO REDS

3. Do you like things big, bulky and durable or do you prefer small and compact?

ANSWER-- BIG I WORK OVERNIGHTS ALONE SO DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING SMALL AND CAN TAKE MY PEN STYLES IF I NEED TO

4. Which shape is more pleasing to you to hold: something cylindrical or a box shape?

ANSWER -- ROUND CYLINDRICIAL. THATS ALL I HAVE EVER HAD I DONT KNOW HOW PLEASING HOLDING THE BOX WOULD BE BUT OPEN TO ANYTHING

5.How long would you like or need the batteries to last in a typical day.For some this an 8 hour shift or could be 16 or more hours depending on your lifestyle.
ANSWER-- ANYTHING LONGER THEN THE TINY PEN STYLES THAT LAST ONLY 2 HOURS I VAPE PRETTY MUCH CONSTANTLY I ALWAYS HAVE MY ecig IN MY HAND vaping NO MATTER WHAT IM DOING

6. How much effort do you want to put into vaping? Do you want something that requires little effort or are you more of a tinkerer? Generally extremely active lifestyles or someone who's constantly on the go doesn't have a lot of time but the reverse could be true for you as well.
ANSWER-- I WANT SOMETHING THAT DOESNT HAVE TO BE REFILLED EVERY 30 MINUTES OTHER THEN THAT DOESNT MATTER

7.Do you think you would prefer tobacco, menthol, fruit and candy or dessert flavors?
ANSWER TOBACCO OR VANILLA OR CARAMEL

8.Do you think you would like a warmer or a cooler vape? Also let us know if you have sensitivities to cold or an aversion to hot liquids.
ANSWER. WHICHEVER GIVES BETTER THROAT HIT

9. What is more important to you, throat hit (that feeling of weight or tickle hitting the back of your throat when you inhale) , vapor production (the amount of vapor or steam produced by your device and/or e-liquid) orflavor(The intensity of the taste of the vapor)? Again its okay to have more than one answer but please list them in order of importance.
ANSWER. MOST IMPORTANT IS PROBABLY THROAT HIT FOLLOWED BY VAPOR PRODUCTION

10.Which is more important to you, price, quality, ease of use, or reliability? Its okay to have more than one answer just list them in order of importance.
ANSWER-- RELIABILITY I HAVE HAD MANY BATTERIES TO MY G6 FROM HALO ALWAYS STOP WORKING SO PRICE ISNT TO MUCH OF A CONCERN IF IT WILL LAST A WHILE

11.How much are you looking to spend on your initial purchase or upgrade?
ANSWER-- NO MORE THEN PROBABLY AROUND THE 250$ RANGE

12. Have you looked at any other accessories such as clearomizers, cartomizers, tanks, pre-filled cartidges etc and do you have any questions about how they work or what they are?
ANSWER I HAVE CARTOMIZERS INTERESTED IN TANKS SO I DONT HAVE TO REFILL AS MUCH

13. Would you feel more comfortable vaping (popular term used to refer to inhaling vapor from an electronic cigarette, mod, PV or APV) in public or do you prefer to do it in private?
ANSWER-- I VAPE IN PUBLIC LIKE IN MY CAR BUT IF IM AT A RESTAURANT I USUSALLY GO TO THE BATHROOM OR WAIT UNTIL I LEAVE THE RESTAURANT

14. Whats your favorite color?
ANSWER-- YELLOR

15. Do you have any disabilities or other difficulties that might have a bearing on your choice? ex: some peoples wrists aren't strong enough to hold a big battery mod or their eyesight doesnt allow easy filling of ejuice (the liquid containing nicotine and flavoring used in electronic cigarettes, also referred to as nicquid or e-liquid)
ANSWER NO DISABILITIES

16. Have you thought about securing backup devices in the event of failure or purchasing extra batteries?
I HAVE A FEW BATTERIES FROM DIFFERENT BRANDS BUT THERE ALL THE SMALL PEN STYLE THAT DONT LAST MORE THEN 2 HOURS

I used to use Joytech 910, I think. It was a few years ago and it helped me quit smoking regular cigarettes. At that time I mixed my own juice but I was off work at that time and when I went back to work, sweating and ecigs didnt mix with me because I couldnt feel the smoke. I went back to smoking and now I am off work again so I just ordered an ego-c w/tank and some juice to mix so I can quit again.
I have been reading reviews and it has gotten so complicated while I have been away that it's damn right confusing. But for a decent price this one will do the trick until I get enough money to order the super mod I want where it holds the juice container and drips with a push of a button. That will be the one I would trust the most, but I can tell you that this starter kit will last me at least 6 months and save me a .... load on cartons of cigs.

Good luck I hope I have helped a little, I know I can't help a lot. lol Happy vapors!

Hi tgardner23, welcome to ECF.

I don't know a lot about big battery models but this forum has a lot of information. Look through some threads and I'm sure someone will come along and help more. I can say that I switched from a small m401 to an egoC and am loving it. I only got 650mah batteries but they last me almost all day. Clearos seem to be doing well for me as well. I couldn't stand always refilling tiny carts and now I just fill two clearos and they last me a day at work.

If you don't mind 3.7V this kit is pretty sweet. Pick up an extra tank plus some more cartos and you're all set. I'm getting through most days on one 18490, with the 18650 you definitely should. I'll let someone else chime in for a VV/VW mod. Though if you want to go cheap on VV a couple of Twists or Spinners would work fine and the 1000mah Twist or 1300mah Spinner will get you through almost the whole day.

The IBTanked tanks are awesome, and priced really well. My 25mm standard tank lasts me all day for juice (about 5ml). I love my Bolt, but I'm working on Santa for a either a Provari or a Kicked Bolt. Plus, a couple more tanks.

Two devices I found great to upgrade to are the silver bullet from altsmokes or if you have the cash provari by provape if you don't have the cash the zmax sould do the trick. The silver bullet is an all mechanical mod that is pretty much indestructible I have dropped that thing so many times some from 10 ft high to straight metal with the kick in it and still fires right up. I've had one for a year now and it's still in my main mod circle. Next the provari i don't need to say much if you got the money get it it's worth it. Get the full size version I thought it was going to be to big and almost got the mini so glad I didn't. Full size is the way to go. Check out ther web site provape.com. Good Luck and go with your gut and what ever keeps you off the real things

Thanks for using the questionnaire.Having all those answers really helps especially if someone reads them line by line.

Long battery life and reliably seem to be of major concern so Id recommend any mod out there with an 18650 battery.Egos are nice at 650, 900 and 11oo MaH but arent in the same category as an AW or Panasonic 18650 with 2000-2200 mAh

As general rule for the average vaper 100 mAh equals 1 hour of vape time. Since you say you vape constantly and your pv never leaves your side lets cut that in half and say every 100 mAh equals 30 minutes.Youd get 3 and a half hours from an Ego 650mAh battery, 4 and half from the 900, 5 and a half hours from the 1100 and 10 and 11 hours each from the 18650 batteries.Obviously chain vaping will shorten even this conservative number. So will choice of resistances in your carto.

As far as cylindrical mods go theres a pretty big selection including The Bolt, Provape, Prodigy, Silver Bullets, Smoktek telescopes and a host of others that are purely mechanical in nature. These mods vape at 3.7 volts with the flavor and vapor gradually going down as the battery discharges.

You also have more options with Lavatubes, Vmax's , Zmaxs and Provaris.

Do you care at all about the vapor and flavor going down as the battery gets weaker? Thats a prime consideration in choosing a variable voltage mod as they regulate the voltage to stay the same throughout the life of the battery.

The Zmax is also a Variable wattage mod and in a nutshell this allows you to set it at your preferred watts.Lets say 8 watts for example and then you can add a variety of different accessories, atomizers cartomizers and rebuildable atomizers and the vape stays the same.VW adjusts the voltage automatically to keep things where you like it. With VV you also control watts indirectly by manually changing the voltage.

Personally Id choose either the Provari or the Zmax if you prefer VW or VV and get an 18650 extension cap with it.

For ease of use and not having to fiddle with juices Id recommend either a Vision Vivi Nova which is a clearomizer/tank hybrid or a carto tank. Its been my experience that Pyrex performs the best and is worth the extra money since you dont have to worry about juices cracking your tank or chemicals leeching into your juice. Polypropylene performs well with most juices and is also a cheaper alternative.

definitely get extra batteries RTDvapor is a great source for 18650 batteries and a charger.I use the Tr-001 at 11 bucks and it works fine for me.

Most tanks are threaded to fit 501s as thats pretty much the universal standard now. Also a couple of extra drip tips come in handy in case you drop your mod and they break.

If you go with the 18650s for longer battery life dont forget the extension for the silver bullet.

Get an ego battery with charger to match. For it too last a few hours between chargers you need maybe 1000mah or something similar. You need a "rebuildable long wick vision ce5 v3 clearomizer too. Find youself some e liquid. Maybe mix 70% vegetable glycerine unflavoured e liquid with 25% propylene glycol flavoured e liquid of your choice and add 5% menthol vegetable glycerine. All in all you should end up with an electric vapour device that produces plenty of vapour, a good throat hit and will taste the way you want it. The menthol e liquid is to add that dryness you experience from smoking tabacco. It isn't for flavour. It what you are looking for is a smoking experience then you need to find some flavoured e liquid that has a good tabacco flavour. All of these products do not add up to a great deal of money either.

No need for apologies :) questions are good I should have asked a lot more when I started. 2 18650 batteries, charger, couple of replacement cartomizer for your tank and of course you got to get a drip tip to complete that bada$$ ecig. I found the j-tanks from electronicstix fit and look perfect on the silver bullet. You got a good start and made a good choice on the silver bullet. Fee

Howdy, tgardner23 and welcome to the ECF!

Thanks for taking the time to fill out the questionnaire, it's a big help. It sound like your main concerns are 1 - battery life, 2 - time between refills, 3 - and not having a reduction in performance so...
1 - Your current pen batteries are probably no more that 280mAh and it is, for the most part, the mAh that determine how long the battery will last...the higher the mAh, the longer the life. An eGo at 1100mAh (or eGo Twist at 1000mAh) would likely last you 3 times as long at least. Perhaps not quite that for a Twist because you will probably end up using it at some higher voltages which will drain the battery more quickly. A larger replaceable battery Mod will use anything from an 800mAh to a monster 2800mAh battery and would last accordingly (for say, a 2000mAh battery, you could expect about 8 times the life of your pen batts).
2 - The ultimate in juice storage is a carto tank. These are plastic or Pyrex glass tanks that sit around cartomizers (similar to those you currently use). The cartomizers have holes punched or drilled into them. The holes allow the juice to slowly seep into the carto to replenish the juice you use and keep the carto constantly wet (which improves performance). Larger carto tanks are around 5 or 6ml so they would last you about 5 or 6 times as long (or more) than your current carto's.
3 - Any carto tank with a decent cartomizer and an eGo, eGo Twist, or any mod will outperform your pen style by quite a bit; providing more vapor, more flavor, and more throat hit. Variable voltage like the eGo Twist or a VV mod would improve that even further.

So, what to get. Well, we always say that it is ultimately up to you but, given your answers (thanks again), here are the options I would suggest:
PV
Ultimate ---
A Provari or Provari Mini. These are tough as nails, rock solid, stable, safe, and good looking variable voltage APV's with a great warranty and a company that backs them 100%. These adjust from 2.9 to 6.0 volts. A Provari "V2" will put you back $212 for a complete kit with the APV, two batteries, a charger, a 5-pack of standard 3-ohm cartomizers (similar to the ones you have), and a drip tip. These use 1100mAh removable batteries (charge one while vaping the other). These batts would last you about 6 to 9 hours or more.
A Provari Mini kit $160 for the APV + $17 for a charger + $18 for 2 18350 700mAh batts for a total of $195. These batts would last you about 4 to 6 hours. Available from madvapes (also check the ECF classifieds forum here).

Great---
A set of Joyetech 1000mAh eGo-C Twist batteries. These are not as tough as the Provari but they are pretty darn tough and smaller (cigar sized). They also do not have the voltage range of the Provari's being limited to 3.2 to 4.8 volts (covers 90% of what you would probably ever want). These would probably last you 6 to 8 hours or more. The larger (5 and 6ml) tanks will be larger than the battery with these but they will work fine. A set of 2 genuine Joyetech (that's important) eGo-C Twist batts will run you $54 from goodprophets.com.

Really good (and a lot cheaper)---
The Boss single-voltage 18650 mod. This is very similar to the popular Silver Bullet but is less expensive and has built-in short circuit protection. This is available in a kit with one battery, and a charger for $52.21 - add another battery at $8 for a total of a $60 and change. The 18650 battery they sell with the kit is rated at 2250mAh and would certainly last you all day. This is not variable voltage but using low resistance cartomizers in the tank will give you a lot better vape than you get with the pens.

The tank: Lots of options here too.
Ultimate---
Any tank from Phiniac. These will run you from $40 to $60 for an XL tank.
Any tank from IBTanked. These will run you from $17.50 for a clear 19mm XL tank with acrylic caps (holds about 2ml+carto so about 3ml), $27.50 with colored 19mm XL tank and stainless steel caps, to $35 for a monster 25mm XL colored tank w/ painted SS caps (holds about 8ml + carto so about 9ml !).

Good---
SMOKtech or Boge DCT tank. Available from all sorts of places. Hoosierecigs sells the 3.5ml (including carto) with polished aluminum caps for $9.50 and the 6ml (including carto) w/alum caps for $10.50. These will not survive citrus or cinnamon juices because of the plastic tanks.

Cartomizers for tanks:
I can only recommend one brand, IkenVape Platinum XL from ikenvape.com. Their awesome. These do not have flanges but you don't need the flange to work with a tank.
To work with the Provari's or eGo Twist, you will want the "IKV 510 MEGA Platinum STD Punch!" pre-drilled cartos. For the Boss, you'll want the low-res "IKV 510 MEGA Platinum LR 2.0Ω" these are not pre-drilled so you will need to get a punch tool (goodprophets has them for $6.50).

So, there you are (this is what BadItude calls a wall of text). That took me waaaaay longer than I had anticipated to put together. Enjoy!
