photo 1.jpgSo I started out with a vaporking storm and liked it a lot. Definetly got me hooked and the change was almost too easy. Only problem was that I kept destroying them. So I went back the mall because I needed one then and got what is in the pictures. In order for me to use it I have to pop the mouthpiece off and brush the liquid onto two tiny strings. I miss the tank. Problem is that the kiosk isnt exactly helpful in me finding tanks other than the junk that they sell. So the first few pictures are what I'm using. I dont know what kind of connection I have. I dont know what kind of tanks I can use with this battery. I'm stuck with this battery for at least a while. The best I can tell the battery is a KeCig K100+ (I've read online that these arent very popular amongst the community but like I said I'm stuck with it for the time being). I like how small I've gotten the thing down to as I'm not a huge fan of the huge ones. I'm trying to keep the thing as stream lined as I have it now, but I need a tank due to the amount of driving I do and my abuse of these things I cant walk around with a plastic bottle in my pocket. So please help me figure out what I have and direct me to what I can add to it in the tanks. I also dont really know whats what in the tank category. Ruggedability is a big part, and the stream lining is also an extremely major part.photo 3.jpgTHese are the two pics that I've been able to upload/ I'm going to keep trying to get the others on there too. THe tank from my vapor king will fit on this battery as well if that helps anyone. I've seen a lot of pics of the stream lined stainless steel short mods with the tanks. I think that is really what I'm looking for at this point. Also if there is a better forum for me to put this please let me know.

Looks like a dripping atomizer to me. They're called RDA's (Rebuidable Dripping Atomizers)... I'm not really up on the brands, but that looks like it might be a Pheonix V5 (??? someone here will know..). You should be able to just drip liquid in without brushing it onto the coils. I have a very small RDA and it will take about 8 drops without flooding.

The connector is (from what I can tell) a 510, which is pretty standard.

If you like the flavor and hit you're getting now, try a Vision or Smoketec Vivi Nova tank. The standard size holds 3.5ml and they make a big one that holds 8ml.

the battery looks like a k101 mechanical mod the second is a rebuildable atomizer looks to be a DEUCE Dyno RDA RBA Dual Coil Dripping Atomizer

k101

deuce dyno
NEW- Stainless DEUCE Dyno RDA RBA Dual Coil Dripping Atomizer [gv-DeuceDynoDualCoilRBA] - $21.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

this is what it looks like to me with a little research spur of the moment but i think this is correct.
the 101 or the 100 urs looks to be the 101 by the way the grippy part is to me are 510 threaded for tanks and such about the most popular threading for attachments. any atomizer or tank that states it is 510 threaded should work with your device you said that you had got it this small which you liked these are what are called telescoping mods which means you have a choice in what battery you use depending on the size of the device you want it will work with an 18350, 18490(18500), or an 18650 depending on the length of the tube you adjust it to for your preference.

hope this helps

It's looks like a Nimbus Clone from the pictures you have in the main post. Just depends on what color the posts inside are. If they're silver, it's a Nimbus if they're gold and have thumb screws it's the one mentioned above.

As for other options, it depends on what sort of vape you like. A top coil, like the vivi Nova, is going to give you a warmer vape while bottom coils, like the ProTank, TS3's etc are going to give you a much cooler vape. Personally, I prefer bottom coils if I use a tank system other than the RSST.

What is rsst? I've been googling all day trying to find these tanks. The tank I have on is cooler than the one I had before which was a basic clearomizer (I think). I'm new so I'm not really ready to start building these things yet. Anyone got a link for something they think may keep mine streamlined and minimalist like it is now? I'm getting more into the aesthetics at this point but everytime I use mine it's just irritating as all hell.

I'm realizing that a lot of these questions could be answered by just going into a smoke shop, but those places are off limits to military on this island so my options are volcano, the kiosk that sold me this thing or the Internet.

Thanks for all the help guys.

Are you telling me I can just pull the tip off the top and drop the liquid in there

I didn't realize you were taking the WHOLE top off! No wonder you don't like it!

I use a tank when driving. Even though I've gotten my wick/coil combination down, it's still not as nice as an RDA... but it's safer!

Ok got a new question. Pros and cons on the bottom coil clearomizers and the clearomizers with the wic hanging down?

Bottom coils, like Tactical said, have a cooler vapor than top coils. The problem I have with them is that everything I try in them tastes weak and often nasty. Plus you generally have to unscrew the entire tank from the base to refill.

Top coils generally seem to have a warmer, more flavorful vapor and to refill you usually can just unscrew the top (less messy) and load it up.

Of the two styles, I like the Kanger EVOD bottom coils and for top coils I like the Vivi Novas.
Fasttech has a bunch of different stuff, cheap, but shipping can be sloooooww. There's a vendor's directory on here too.

The RSST is a rebuildable, much like the Nimbus Clone you have pictured in your first post. It's a combination rebuildable + tank, so you get the best of both worlds, but it can be tricky to setup at first, so if you're not yet ready to do rebuilds I'd stick with glancing over the others mentioned.

You can check out the Protank II at the link below (good company to deal with):

Kanger ProTank II

With the Protank you'll get 2 pre-built heads (the unit which contains the coil, wick etc) which screws in and out of the base. I have 6 of them and while I no longer use the stock heads (I rebuild these too), they are one of the better bottom coils.

You can check out the Vivi Nova at the link below (also a good company to deal with):

GotVapes VISION ViVi NOVA™ 3.5ml V2.5 REBUILDABLE TANK [gv-VIVINOVA-TANKV2.5] - $12.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

The main differences, other than the Protank being a bottom coil design and the Vivi Nova being a top coil design are the tanks themselves. The Protank is Pyrex (glass) and the Vivi Nova is plastic. Why does it matter? Because certain juice/liquid can crack plastic, such as citrus, cinnamon, and some mints. If you vape any of those, you need to get a tank that has a glass enclosure.

Another bottom coil design that is pretty nice is the Vision Vivi Nova:

Aspire BDC Vivi Nova Pyrex Tank Stainless Kit

The above is stainless steel + pyrex with a window, bottom coil design and it works pretty darn good.

The only thing you have to worry about with those 3 tanks (other than plastic being prone to cracking) is replacing the heads which is as easy as screwing off the top or the base, unscrewing the existing head, screwing a new one in and then letting it sit for a few minutes before you vape.

AGA-T3 Rebuildable Atomizer

Found this thing and it looks to be about the right size that I'm looking for. What all do I need to know about a rebuild? I assume it's not going to come already built for me so what all would I need to buy with one? Also does anyone have any thought on the tank in the link above?

Do a youtube search for aga-t3 and anything else you are considering and you will find tons of reviews, instructionals, etc. Stuff I have seen about the aga-t3 is that it is easy to build and works great but the tank is too small and it is a pain to refill. Also you would need an ohm meter (and a basic understanding of electricity and battery safety) to test the resistance of your builds since mechanical mods do not have one built in. You could get a general all purpose multimeter in all kinds of flavors and price points or a specific one just for e-cig attys for 20-25 bucks. This is very important because you could do serious damage to the mod, battery, and your face\hand if you try to fire a build with too low of a reistance or a dead short. In general this is not the way to go if you want something super easy.

The size of the tank isn't an issue. I burn through about 1.5 ml a day. I'm probably going to go with a vivi nova as I saw a lot of talk on YouTube about the pro tank having issues with the air hole being blocked.

Are there smaller mods that have the ohm readers so I could get into the rebuildable tanks? I know I'm on aesthetics at this point but this k100 thing has already taken a beating. I'm want to have something that with tank is no bigger than 6-7 inches. I need it to be super rugged because no matter what I tell myself it's going to wind up in my pocket and get abused. Recommendations? Going to try to keep it under $200 (is that even possible?). Also I use primarily a honeydew liquid. Is this one of te juices that causes cracks and such? I get it from the volcano stand in the mall and they say it works fine in their tanks.

I read through all of the posts here, and I am kinda surprised no one has really mentioned that you have a mechanical mod. What this means is that YOU are the safety mechanism for anything that you do. Be it pre-built tanks, Rebuildable Tanks or Drippers, and even your batteries themselves. (mechanical literally means a direct connection between battery and atomizer, nothing electronic (even wires) in the way).
It looks to me like you have a K100 style (be it authentic or "clone" doesn't really matter) base. You have no way right now of even knowing if your "pre-built" tanks (Aspire / Kanger / AnyVape / etc) are running at the resistance they say they are.
I would suggest a multimeter right off the bat, even if it is borrowed for the time being.

You should really read these threads for some really good info:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/4848-9-battery-basics-mods-imr-protected.html
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-10-advancing-up-vaping-ladder-egos-mods.html

Really hope that helps.....Really. :2cool:

BTW, noticed you said a lot of places in HI are "off-limits". Do I assume correctly you are AD? If so, thank you for your service. CTR @ FICA here.
