Please help me identify and find a similar part.

I have this Kamry KTS mechanical E-Cig mod, but I'm having a real issue with the (top or 510 connection).

Both the tank that came with it , and the ProTank will not screw into the 510 threads. I believe that the threads are either not deep enough, or the threads aren't square with the igniter.

I'm looking for a piece to replace this part without replacing the entire telescoping mod.

I need help identifying what this part is called and it would help tremendously if someone could point me in the direction of an inexpensive viable replacement with 510 threads to accept a ProTank.

If it did'nt thread well from new you should be able to get it, or at least that part replaced from where you bought it. There were some vendors selling the flat top replacement top, but none that I know of have it in stock anymore. Flat Head Top Cap Replacement for Flat-Top KTS Storm

You could try a 510/510 adapter. May not be the prettest, but would work.

i got one (since sold it) and did not notice a difference between it and the tapered top.. they provide nice service.

I've come to the conclusion that the center pin in the top cap is moving closer to the threads when I tighten the mod down on the battery.

I've realized that I can push it down (forcefully) then screw on my ProTank. As long as I don't screw the mod down too tight it seems to work.

Fasttech sells the entire KTS for $20 (without batteries or the charger). I can't really justify paying $10 for just the top piece... Perhaps I just need to get a higher quality mod /shrug.

correct. the flat top is nice but not worth ten bucks... and the chrome did not match 100%, very slight variance in color and machining texture. i ended up selling my mod after realizing i did want something different and better.

any recommendations for a "better quality mod" that doesn't break the bank, accepts 18650 batteries, and works well with 1.8Ohm coil heads in the ProTank with 510 threads?
