I've researched on this forum until my head spun. I gave up once because it was too overwhelming. It's more for my husband than me, I'm more of a just when I'm stressed smoker.

One of my co-workers showed me his Green Smoke. Although it was expensive - it was easy and we went with it. We were very impressed with the packaging and quality (great vapor, good basic taste) - and the fact that they are moving to having all the carts be made in USA instead of China. HOWEVER, there are a few issues: 1. The highest nicotine cart they make is 16 mg and this does not seem to be enough to get my husband to switch completely from analogs. 2. I'm sensitive to PG.

So, another co-worker went with Vapor4Life and let me check his out. Seemed like a good fit so we ordered. We were not as impressed with the quality. Packaging was thrown together and carts are sticky. We can't really handle the flavors. I got VG 4 mg banana for myself and they're okay - but not something I'm drawn to smoke, like the GS. The VG seems to work for me, though. My husband has tried the GS sampler flavors and the various flavors thrown in by V4L - but he is all about menthol. He only wants a good menthol. He got Cowboy menthol and neither he or I could smoke it. They threw in a Cool, RY4, Cuban Cigar and a Parliment and neither of us could handle any of them. Too chemical, not smooth like GS. I did try a co-worker's Virginia that seemed okay, but haven't tried the menthol one he had. Mon. I am going to ask if I could borrow it for my husband.

Everyone seems to like Halo for menthol and I'm thinking of empty V4L carts with Halo - but my husband is resistant to all this spending and chasing after something he's not sure will replace analogs.

I know others like 510s and eGos - but he's resisting just filling carts on a two piece. I don't want to give up... but this is getting expensive and frustrating.

My husband also wants to just get something like an analog, GS was close - but still has green colored carts. I found e-cig.com which would be his answer totally - choose batt color, cart color, tip color, led color, nic goes to 36 mg BUT the reviews on here totally warn against ecig.com. Is ecig.com really bad?

So after reading our expensive adventure so far - does anyone have any advice? To mainly get my husband off analogs. Please be blunt. If you think a two piece or carts won't do it, or he needs to go Halo to be happy - feel free to say so.

(To sum up: We like 2 piece, don't really want to mess with liquid unless we have to, would like it to look like analog down to cart color, like GS flavor, can't handle V4L flavor - but need higher nic for him, VG for me... and is ecig.com bad because if not it seems like it could handle all of this.)

Thank you to anyone and everyone who answers.

Well i hope you can find the answers your looking for, For me it is about the liquid, pre-filled carts just dont cut it and half the time they are dried up. Once you find a Liquid you like it get really cheap to vape at least it was for me being i smoked 2 packs a day.It is just cheaper to refill your own carts or cartos in the long run.

You could always try a 510 or Ego with a cartomizer that it a 2 piece. Cignot has a 510 set thats only 35 bucks i dont think they sell carto yet.

Hi Heather ,

In my opinion I think cartomizers are going to be too light a draw for your husband and not enough like a real cig.

I would suggest a good 3 pc 510 setup like the EGO.

Hang in there. It takes a little while to find the combination that really works.

Halo has a menthol called something like new pure or something like that. It is great. I tried some and Im not a big fan of menthol but that stuff is great!

You might try an EGO 510 model with a good liquid..

I would not do carts that are prefilled. They are aweful and cartomizers are too airy for me a 3.7 volts.. The cartomizers pre filled to me are aweful chemical tasting too.

A good juice will do wonders for your husband..

With cigs at 7 bucks per pack and health concerns. Vaping is the right way to go..

Good luck to you. If you need any help PM me with any questions and I would be happy to help you any way I can..

Welcome and you've come to the right place for answers. Have you thought of trying a disposible 510 kit? These kits are just like a reuseable 510 but only about 10 bucks and it would give you and your husband a chance to see if the 510 fits your needs. You can find them at many of the suppliers that a on the suppliers forum on this site. Whatever you choose just know it's a healthier alternative to analogs. Good luck and you can win this battle ;)

I think a Joye / Janty 510 is a great e-Cig for a couple of reasons.

1) You can get a starter kit for a very reasonable price. Why drop a boat load of money on something if its going to work for you?

2) It is close to the size of 100's cigarettes.

3) You can use either cartridges or cartomizers with it.

4) Spare parts, cartridges, cartomizers and information can be found just about on any e-Cig site.

5) If you decide later that you want a big unit with more battery life, you can get an Joye / Janty eGo which uses 510 cartridges or cartomizers.

I would highly recommend Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. as a place to buy from. They are 100% dependable and their service and prices are top notch.

I would also suggest :

FIVE (5) Joye 510 compatible e-Cigarette blank cartomizers (This is NOT Genuine Joyetech!)

for 510 cartomizers. I have tried 4 or 5 brands and I find these to be some of the best.

PG based juices irritated my throat for the fors 3 or 4 days I started vaping. Then it seemd to ease. But as soon as I moved to a mix of VG and VG or pure VG juice, all irritation complete went away.

For a heavy smoker, perhapse starting off with 28mg or 30mg nicotine. The mistake I made when I started e-Cigs was going tooo low on the mg. I started with 18mg and found it very hard to not cheat and have an analog. But once I tried some 28mg, the cravings realy subsided. I used 28mg for 3 weeks and now I'm doing 24mg and 18mg with no problems.

Filling blank cartomizers is very easy and I think that after you did one or two you'll find it a snap. I sit down on Sunday night and fill up 6 or 7 for the week. Then when you leave in the mourning for work you just grab your e-Cig and an extra battery and cartomizer. I also keep a few extra cartomizers in my desk at work.

Like I said, Don't be afraid of refilling them. If you decide to go with cartomizers, send me a personal message and I'll send you a step by step guide to doing it.

VaporBomb.com has a very nice selection of flavors, nicotine strength and VG:pG bases. Their prices are good and I'm sure they have a flavor that you and your husband will like.

Don't give up hope. It's allways darkest before the dawn.

My husband is also a bit resistant and I swear really picky. I did find a menthol he likes(4th try) it has 36mg nic is 80pg/20vg so he is happy, he also likes the taste. if you will pm me your address I will send you a small bottle to try along with info on where I got it from. You will need a cart to put it in if you don't have that already.

My husband did not like the Halo, for what it is worth, nor did he care for Tasty Vapor. He is happy with Vermont Vapor, and some DIY stuff.

Your kr808 kit can work, but you will need to fill blank cartomizers yourself.
there are a lot of great liquids available. I am not fond of v4l carts either.
It is not hard to fill a cartomizer , and doesnt take long to fill them either.
I would say get some blanks from vapor nine in the suppliers list on this forum
they have a really good cartomizer. then order some sample packs of juice from
variouse suppliers.
Made in USA suppliers that I know of are,
Johnson Creek people say they like the flu cured and menthol
Tasty Vapor sweets and tobacco made to your specifications vg or pg and nic level
Ms Ts Bakery for awesome sweet treat flavors
Cignot has a all vg liquid that is good , it is their basic line
I am sure that there are others and someone else can tell you who they are ,

It's kind of funny that you are named Heather and are from Michigan. My best friend's wife if named Heather and she is having the same problem. She has the two piece and just can't get it to hit the way she would like it to. I have tried to help and I feel bad because I suggested the two piece because I know she isn't someone who likes to fiddle around with stuff. Honestly, I don't think anyone makes what you are looking for. I don't know of any line that looks like a smoke and tastes like a smoke.

However, the 510 is probably your best option. cignot.com is great and remember that this site does have a great classified section and you should be able to sell your other kits without taking to big of a hit. My friends that have switched to the 510 have had the best luck. If you can get over the size difference the eGo would be nice because the batteries on the 510 are it's weak point.

I smoked a 2 piece for awhile but ultimately went 3 piece for the taste. it's just way better, and ends up costing alot less. my 401 has a real heavy draw and good TH and the atty is high quality. I would highly recommend myfreedomsmokes, if you check out the forum suppliers section Chris has some good deals at the moment.
