Hi everybody,
after trying starter kit's for a while ive bought something more serious,
i got a sigelei 19B mod, with a smok RSST, a 18650 flat top, some
Kanthal A1 0.20mm and some #500-25 Micron mesh ?
Thanx to youtube i managed to build the thing up, it looks great,
(compared to a stater kit at least) The taste is right on, BUT
from all the youtube video's i watched, everybody was blowing out
a truck load of smoke... wile i get (i sh#t you not !) less than what
i got out of my starter kit.. so i must do something wrong.. i mean im
shure nothing's broke, and im shure it can produce more vapor, so it
must be my build up that's messing things up..
just for the record, i dont have an ohm, electricity or volt meter,
nor do i have anny idea how to use it if i did.. i realise i barly know what
im doing.. but i got vapor out of it so i cant be that wrong :D
annyway, here's some pictures of what i managed to do, i'd love some feedback
o and i dont have hot spot's, the air hole is in line with the mesh and the coil is
wraped tight, but not to tight, its tight enought to touch the mesh but its not
like cutting into it

Did you wrap on the mesh? The only things I can think of:
Coil needs to be loose enough to pull wick in and out of coil, but tight enough to give you some resistance in doing so..

You didn't oxidize your wick effeciently. Or it is rolled too loose or tight. What thread count is your mesh?

Some flavors need some troubleshooting/research and development on your part to figure out the best wicking methods.

I highly recommend you get a digital multi meter. You can use it for checking ohms and also battery voltage. You will not want your battery voltage to get too low and you can also check the battery off the charger to make sure it's not too high. You can find out how use a DMM by using Google or any search engine.

OK, so you're working on this right now. 0.2 mm Kanthal is I believe 32 awg. You can estimate the resistance of the coil if you know the gauge and its length. Go to this thread and check the table titled "Kanthal A-1 Wire Specs: (Ohms Per Inch)". I suggest you aim for about 1 to 1.3 ohms to start with and move on from there. The lower you go with resistance, the more power you pull form the battery, so don't go too low! There is a whole world of info in that thread on battery safety. Highly recommended reading :thumb:

There is no better tutorial I have ever seen than this one on how to set up a Genesis style RBA.

Good luck with it and get that DMM. You don't need an expensive one. I think I paid $15 for mine.

Vape on :smokie:

wrap on the mesh ? i roled it, put it in the tank, took the top of to be at the same hight as the rest and than made the coil go
around it.i dont think i can pull out the mesh, so its probably to tight. i dont have a torch (seriously sometimes when i watch
youtube, i get the impresion that everybody has a huge tool shed with everything available..) i used a bic lighter.. waited till it
started glowing and stoped, just the top tho.. like half an inch.. uhm the thread count ? 400 mesh i think thats what u meant.
im using caramel flavor because i saw some "acid" flavors burst the tank.. the flavor is great tho, i have some coconut left, might
give that a try as soon as i finish this tank.. i enlarged the air hole a tiny bit.. its more airy, flavor is still good, nice draw, but still
little smoke production (so it wasent the air hole..) ill try rebuild tomorow
and thanx for your imput !

thanx Ryedan, ill def look into that.. gues i cant get around it.. electricity has never been my friend
but ill get into it.. came this far, would be stupid to stop now i gues

You're welcome. If nothing else learn the battery safety stuff. Not knowing that can lead to pain. Which battery are you using? I should have asked this before.

Put your rsst on a shelf and don't touch it until you get a way to check your ohms. Unless your looking to be the first person to blow off there face with a mod. Ok I'm being a bit dramatic but rebuildables shouldn't be messed with unless you understand basic ohms law and battery safety .without a ohm meter it's like Russian roulette 99 times it may go ok then number 100 your battery goes in to thermal runaway.
