Hello Vapors!

I have been reading this forums, and it has been real helpful for my research regarding the switch from analogs to vaping. Recently, I came across the e cigs online and was very interested as I really would like to quit the analog smokes. I have been feeling under after smoking for over 10 year - blood pressure issues, anxiety and just the feeling that my body is dying. So I really hope switching to vaping will help!

So I think I have finally made a decision on where I want to start. I was recommended the MVP 2 - it has great feed back and all but the problem is its a bit too bulky for travel on foot. So I am leaning towards the Vision Spinner 1300 with evod tanks and maybe a pro tank mini? myvaporstore seems to be the only vendor to have them and I just wonder how legit the store is and if they sell authentic equipment. I really don't want any after market stuff.

My Questions are:
1.Will the Vision Spinner work for the switch from analogs?
2.Are the evod tank and pro tank mini a good fit for the Spinner? How long would they last on one coil head before needs change, or would I have to buy a new tank every time?
3.Is it safe to buy replacement coils and use them straight out of the box? Or do they need some washing down and prep before use.
4.Is Vape Dudes a good vendor to buy juice from?
5.I am currently smoking about a pack a day, so what juice is best to get to make the transition, should I go for the 50/50 juice with 24 mg? The throat hit and amount of vapur coming out would be a big plus imo. I know that I will probably be vaping a bit more since vape doesn't have all those chemicals I am used to. I do not want to overdose. Also would love to hear what flavours to go for, as my understanding - getting used to fruitier flavors and letting go of the tobacco smell and taste is a big plus to the switch.

I am sure my questions have been answered before so excuse me for the laziness.
Look forward to any and all advice I can get from the veterans!

1.Will the Vision Spinner work for the switch from analogs?

Yes it will. I do recommend purchasing at least two batteries. You can't use the battery while it charges, so you'll want a second battery to use while it charges (it can take 3 - 4 hours to charge) and have a backup should the first battery dysfunction.

The "mAh rating" determines how long the battery will last on a charge. The higher the mAh, the longer the battery will last. I recommend at least one of the batteries be a higher mAh for all day use.

By the way, My Vapor Store is an excellent vendor. I have used them many times. AltSmoke and Discount Vapors are also favorites.

2.Are the evod tank and pro tank mini a good fit for the Spinner? How long would they last on one coil head before needs change, or would I have to buy a new tank every time?

Yes to both. Coils typically last 2 - 3 weeks (sometimes less). When you get a burnt taste or off taste to your flavors its time to change the coils. The replacement coils are the same coil for the Evod and Protanks.

3.Is it safe to buy replacement coils and use them straight out of the box? Or do they need some washing down and prep before use.

Safe to use right out of the package.

4.Is Vape Dudes a good vendor to buy juice from?

No experience with that vendor. However they seem to have a good reputation from what I've read.

Whatever works best for you. Start out with the following recommendations. Adjust up or down in the nic level according to how well it works or if you have any side effects.

0.5 packs per day = 6 mg nicotine
1 pack per day = 12 mg

1.5 pack per day = 18 mg
2 packs per day - 24 mg

It may be difficult to find a tobacco flavor that tastes similar to a specific cigarette brand, or any cigarette for that matter. If you can start off with a fruit or other flavor you'll be ahead of the game IMHO.

Buy small bottles initially (sampler packs are great if available) to find a flavor(s) that you like. Once you find a flavor, order more in a larger size.

If you can find a nearby vape store that allows sampling of their flavors before you buy, even better!

This all is great advice...especially the part about getting 2 batteries. Good luck with the transition!

Baditude, thank you for the answers break down!

I will be getting 2 Spinners of course ;)
"1 pack per day = 12 mg" I wonder if that would do the trick? I have seen people recommend 24 mg, especially making that first transition. I am just worried that there will be no throat hit that I am so used to from cigs. And of course I don't want to feel side effects. I am sure there will be trial and error, either way thank you for the help!

Also regarding the Evods, My understanding that the tank is plastic, I know plastic doesn't go good with health, especially when you heat it up. Wondering if there is good cheap tanks like the evod that are glass or metal?

I have some Evod clearomizers and I like them a lot. However they are kind of small and don't hold much juice. Also the plastic can crack when you use some of the juices like cinnamon and citrus flavors. Here is a tank that fits well on ego batteries, holds quite a bit of juice, and is glass. I have several of these tanks and find they are pretty trouble free. I would recommend getting some extra coils/heads with them. This is a reliable vendor who ships quickly, too:

TM, the ProTank2 is glass, although I wouldn't worry about plastic for the reason of heating it up--it will never get hot enough to matter. The ProTank 2 mini is also glass, now that I think about it, and will "fit" better with those spinners.

Get one bottle of 12mg and one of 18mg for when the real cravings hit. It's not like it's a contest to see how low a nic level you can go to. The goal is try to get off the cigarettes. If you find the 18mg nic to be too much, you can always cut it with something of less content, so it won't be wasted.

Congratulations, and good luck.

Awesome I will look into those tanks! They look awesome. So 2.4 ohm coils would be best choice for the ego style bats?

Last question is (was not able to find an answer for it anywhere)
If I take a filled tank off the battery for lets say transport easy and stuff it into a bag or my pocket, would the tank spill out juice? I wonder if there is plastic container holders for easy carry of filled tanks.

Thank you for the advice coalyard~! As to my understanding adjusting to more volts would give more vapor/heat? The reason why I was asking about ohms is I do not want to kill the coil. If I have the volts cranked to max would it kill the coils weather it would be a 1.8 or 2.4 ohm ones? Thank you guys again for all the useful information!
I would just leave it on the battery if I were you. I would go for 1.8 ohm coils if possible; less taxing on your battery and more adjustment possible for the best vape. 1.8 ohm coils should do just fine at 3.7 volts to start from, adjust slowly from there to dial it in.

Interesting. My goal is not to have too much of the felt heat vaping, more important throat hit satisfaction and cooler if possible. More vape is a plus, but I guess without more heat you cant get more vapor. Thank you!
I would leave it on the battery as well but if you need you carry it separately I would put in a ziplock bag because they can leak a little at times.

Coalyard: I think that it's the other way around. The higher the ohm coil the less it takes to fire it. You will get a hotter hit from a 1.8 vs 2.4 coil though.

Coils aren't that expensive so I would get a couple of each and see what you prefer. Really won't be that big of difference when you adjust your volts.

I think that the "Spinner" also has adjustable watts? I would set that to your liking and leave it. It will automatically adjust whatever coil you have to that wattage.

You won't harm the plastic with the amount of heat your coils will create. However, some flavors will react with the polycarbonate plastic that most clearomizers and tanks use.

Something Safe for Cinnamon & Citrus Flavors

If you want a cooler vape, use a higher ohm coil. If a warmer vape, use a lower ohm coil. Lower ohm coils will draw more energy from the battery than higher ohms. That might not make common sense, but its true according to Ohm's Law.

I suggest getting a carrying case to place your batteries and tanks in to protect them. The larger variety will be long enough that you won't have to disassemble them during transport, and they'll be ready to vape as soon as you open the case.

I agree, I will try a couple :) To my understanding the Vision Spinner and ego c types do not have wattage - just voltage. I will move to mvp2 which has all the good stuff - if I make my transition. Who knows maybe vaping is not for me, hope I am wrong!

So glass it is! I don't like Cinnamon or Citrus anyways hehe :D Was looking at Vape Dudes and the 3 flavors that intrigued me were: vanilla tobacco, peaches and cream, coconut and cream.
Hope to make transition fast - before vaping is outlawed or turns into another big tobacco toxic industry.

Might have to look into getting a man purse. :2cool: I think maybe the VTR from inokin it the best carry everywhere mod as its the size of a cig pack. Just too heavy, but love the tank protection on the side. If vaping really works will get one!

Ah, wasn't sure. I have the MVP and it's not a big as everyone thinks. I also have a Itaste VV that works like the MVP but styled more like the Spinner. I prefer the MVP for battery life but use both.

I think you'll be wrong. :)
