Hey guys! I'm still new at this, I started vaping on 10/6 using an NPRO I bought at a local pilot truck stop. I was a pack-a-day smoker and stopped smoking analogs completely when I got my hands on this lil' guy. My question is, since I find myself using this thing less than I thought I would (a few puffs here and there throughout the day) should a cart be lasting me longer than barely a day? What would be a good brand to upgrade to? I feel like I have to inhale a reallllly long time to get a decent puff off this thing. I don't have a ton of money to spend on this stuff so recommendations would be much appreciated! I was thinking a joye 510?

Yup I started out the same way. Cheap O disposable from a gas station. Good job on stopping the cigs. If you are not going to vape that much a 510 is a good choice. Battery life is short and heavy vapors (like myself) get less than an hour off a battery. Make sure you get a kit with 2 batts and always have 2 spare atty's and juice. If you think you may start vaping more all those suplies can be used with an eGo or riva down the road.

I just started in August and am happy with my Joye 510 Mega (batteries are larger), cost was the reason I bought the kit I did, if I had my ruthers I probably would have bought the Ego and I may in the future. The 510 would probably be a good kit for you, I was 2-3 PAD smoker when I quit. I strongly recommend a passthrough for anyone buying an e-cig though.

If you do get the 510 starter kit ($35-$40 + juices etc.) or the eGo($55-$65 + juices etc.), might I recommend you try cartomizers instead of the atomizer/cartridge combination for you (another $8 + juices)? Since you are a light vaper and have some frustration with cartridges already, the cartomizers would work well for you.

For less then 40 bucks you can get 2 510 mega batteries, a charger, and either an atty or a pack of cartomizers from madvapes.com. If you are a light vaper a mega battery will probably last you all day.

If you are comfortable with a drill and soldering iron you can build a AA box mod with parts from them for $10 and buy 2 batteries and a charger for $15 more. The 14500 batteries last 4-5x longer then a standard e-cig battery and definitely last a light vaper all day.

I'm not sure what you consider a long drag to be but most experienced vapers recommend a 4-6 sec drag for a good hit.

joye 510 atomizers are excellent. I ws lucky enough to have some friends that have other atomizers, and this saved me money as i was able to try other models for free. some others, like the 910 are good, but i honestly find the 510 to be superior. The atomizer is the real work horse in these systems. Other than the atomizer its just a battery and something to hold the liquid. So, youll want to get the atomizer correct. The joye510 atomizer is what most recommend, and i would have to agree.

If you compare a Joye 510 to a Joye eGo, youll notice that the atomizers are the same. Just the battery, weight, and over all appearance is differant. So, that is why you'll see recommendations for both units. I personally prefer the appearance and weight of the Joye eGo. I like that is does not look like a cigarette or a cheep bic pen. I also like that is it a little heavier, it makes it feel like i am actually holding something quality, and not cheep (hehe, its minor but important to me).

My eGo (66 USD including shipping) came with:

2 joye 510 atomizers
2 batteries
1 cone (no real function outside of decoration)
5 prefilled carts
1 USB battery charger
1 wall adapter (so can put USB charger into the wall)
Forum Approved Supplier: Electronic Ash

The youll need some flavors. The prefilled are no good and do not do the unit any justice at all. I highly suggest ordering some fluids. Try to embrace the fact that you are not smoking a cigarette. These units can be used for many flavors other than tobacco. If your like almost everyone else, youll find that flavors other than tobacco are the way to go. Pick up a few, pick up something that you think you might not like, like pineapple. You'll be pleasently suprized.

I purchased varrying quantities of 6 differant flavors from a forum approved supplier. Vaporbomb. That ran me about 40 USD. All told i spent ~100 USD. And i have supplies for about 2-3 weeks of using this thing all the time. Its always being used or with me in my pocket.

As a pack and a quarter a day smoker in an area where cigarettes cost 8-9 USD a pack, it will take me almost two weeks to recoup my investment. After that ill be saving about 200 dollars a month.
