Hi Folks, newbie here that's been in aiming mode for a bit. First, mods, I apologize but I asked this question with detail a bit ago in the newbie forum as an add on to an existing thread. Only then did I realize there's probably an Ego specific thread. Duh and I'm sorry :) . I just shifted from aiming on eRoll to deciding on EgoC, and am looking for input selecting a kit. I'm definitely pulling the trigger on one of these. Any chance I can get a unanimous decision on which to go with? PLEASE, no alternate suggestions or I'll be sucking on my njoy strapped to a USB charger for life! Please note I put the kit contents under each link. Doing so I noticed that #1 specifies EgoC in the description and lists "EGO standard batteries" in the contents. I also took note some say "EGO charger while others say Joye or simply USB charger. Are this all likely typos I suspect?
1. EGO-C and Vision Clearomizer Kit - $58.00 : Rocky Mountain Vapor, The Mountain top of Electronic Cigarettes

Comes in Black or Silver, and 2.4ohm or 1.8ohm

2 x JOYE EGO standard batteries 650mah
2 x Vision Clearomizers
5 x replacement coils for clearomizers
1 x EGO USB Charger
1 x EGO wall adapter

2. EGO-C and Mini ViVi Nova Kit - $60.00 : Rocky Mountain Vapor, The Mountain top of Electronic Cigarettes

Kit includes:

2 x JOYE EGO-C 650mah Batteries
2 x Vision Mini Vivi Nova Tanks - Clear 2.4ohm
5 x Vision vivi nova replacement coil heads 2.4ohm
1 x JOYE EGO USB Charger
1 x JOYE Wall Adapter
1 x EGO battery to nova cover (this is a part that screws on the EGO battery to cover the gap where the battery and nova meet. Cosmetic use only)

3. JOYE EGO-C Starter Kit - $64.00 : Rocky Mountain Vapor, The Mountain top of Electronic Cigarettes

2 x EGO Standard Batteries - 650Mah
2 x EGO-C Atomizer Cover
2 x Atomizer Base
5 x Atomizer Head
5 x Cartridges - Empty no Liquid
1 x USB to Wall Plug
1 x USB Charger

I like the all joye kit comes with joye atomizer covers...I like the way "mini vivi nova" sound, and I like the way the vision clearomizers look!

One thing that confuses me is #3 says "The EGO-C uses the EGO-Tank cartridges".
One thing that concerns me is the vivi novas look like top coils to me??? I heard this is bad :(.

PLEASE HELP!

The reason #3 confuses you, is that #3 is the Only "eGo-C system" of the bunch. And even though That is exactly what I started on, I wouldn't recommend it as you will end up having to fiddle with those little tanks.
But, that said, and it being only my opinion, any of the 3 systems look to be good setups.

I'd go ala carte... .get some eGo-c upgrade 650mAh batts here:

Joye eGo-C Upgrade Battery, Joyetech eGo C Upgrade battery, eGo-C Upgrade battery

and an eGo charger...

And go for the bottom coil Kangers. I like and have good luck with the T3's:

Kanger T3 Bottom Coil Clearomizer, Kanger T3 Cartomizers, KR T3 Clearomizers

These come with the 2.5ohm coil which is a bit light so I'd suggest getting at least two 1.8ohm coil replacements and one or two 2.2ohm coil replacements:

Kanger T3 Replacement Bottom Coil, Kanger T3 Bottom Coil, KR T3 Clearomizers

You might find cheaper kits for the top coil CE's/Vivi Nova/Vision stardusts, etc. but the bottom coils vape much better, imo, and you'll be pretty close to the prices above. Other vendors carry these as well but this one has the best price I've seen on true Joyetech eGo-c upgrade batts and these batts have two modes - one runs a bit hotter than the other, where the regular eGo-c batt doesn't have that. It's not a Twist, but it has a bit more range than the regular eGo and you can get the wattage you need with the coils. Smaller package (shorter than the 900, 1000 or even the 650 Twist but still will give you 5-6.5 hours of vape time... ymmv depending on your vape habits.....

Hmm, so I figured this would happen...1, 2, or 3 is too much to ask I guess :). I'm liking the mini vivi nova set myself, but is that a top coil? Sounds like there's at least 1 vote against top coils here (would like to know the physics of why... Thanks for mudding up my choices! That spinner thing was interesting, but no reference to size, or specs in general on that site and i'm simply no longer into lengthy research. There was reference above to setting the voltage and #'s on the bottom vs the twist, but ZERO info on this in the link.

Uhm, I feel bad responding because you seem hell bent on getting a 650 mAh battery. They are not going to last as Long as say an 1100 mAh battery. For a good price it changes daily with vendors. I recommend different daily due to that. I just did a search and are up with this link for Spinners which are 1100 mAh batts and variable voltage. 510 1100Mah T2 Spinner Kit [1100 Spinner Kit] - $56.00 : Vapors Choice, Ecigarettes & Parts

Dude really? 2 batteries in this kit...everyone I spoke with claims you'll easily get a full day of moderate vaping out of one of them...I don't want a larger battery, I'm sure I could buy an AC Delco and charge it once every 5 years, but that's a car battery and won't actually fit in my pocket :)

Out of the choices you listed, I'd pick the eGo-c with the mini nova. The problems with top coils..... dry hits because they aren't in the ejuice all the time. See:

The Kanger T2 which is also a top coil but one I found worked better for me than the vision stuff.... had the same problem - had to wave it around a bit to keep the wicking going. Also the silicone seals on that one was sometimes a problem - plus the mouthpiece came off the metal threads. The T3 had all the seals in the right places - easy to see - easy to check placement and the bottom filling and bottom coil and wick left the mouthpiece alone - it's fixed, so it was much better, less fuss and no leaks for me.

Today is my 4 year anniversary and I've been through a few mods and sold them all off once I got the eGo and I prefer the eGo-c upgrade batt at the 650mAh level. I DO have several of them going - about 6 flavors and a different eGo for each so they get split up as far as vaping time and I don't powervape any one of them. When out, I always take two. The T3 has a 3ml capacity which is more than the 'larger' protank which doesn't fit the eGo so well and is 2.5ml. I also have an eGo-c upgrade PT in the SUV and I never run out of batt or ejuice when I'm out and about.

ROTFLMAO!!!

Let's get some info from you.. How much did/do you smoke? Ultra light? Lights? Medium? Regular? Little cigars?

Ok.. 650 batteries are a hell of a lot better than the cig-a-likes (180 to 280 mAh) Make it, under perfect conditions, 6.5 hours use each.
We are assuming you smoked lights and aren't going to hit the PV constantly. But... you're going to hit withdrawal and need to bull through it.. so you hit them twice as long and twice as often.. You just reduced your usage to about 3 hours each. Let's also say you end up chain vaping because you really do like it... you might kill that 650mAh battery in 2 hours.
Who knows.. you may only need to take a drag every few hours. If this is so.. the 2 each 650's will be great and will last all day for you.

Spot on, PAD lights. Been dripping 6mg nitelite vapor café latte into my spent cartos from my NJOY rechargeable for a month now, so not worried 'bout withdraw. I have 2 NJOY batts, their customer service is awesome, I had a dead carto and they sent me a 5 pack & an extra battery for the trouble! That said, I work from home with one in my pocket and one on the charger going through 1.5 to 3 batts a day depending on the day. BTW, that 10ml juice above and 10 NJOY 1.8 bold (whatever the hell that is) is all I've had since I started vaping when whatever that little banner below in my sig says. I'm thinking I'll be ok w/2 ego c's...will look at the mini vivi nova video above and likely whip out the credit card in about an hour! One question/comment...I'm kicking out #3 from my OP based on comments here and my own additional research. Is #1 a top coil as well? I'm finding (I think) that both clearos in #1 and #2 are manufactured by Vision???

Yes, both clearos in #1 and #2 are Visions, however I prefer the Vision mini vivi nova over the other one listed in #1, which is cone shaped. That one is also a top coil. If you look at the pic real good, you can see how the coil is inside the tube on top and on the other one there is no head inside the tube on top :) Those tend to leak easier and have a different type of draw that the mini vivi nova. Some like them alot though, so that's just a matter of preference. And if you have been satisfied with NJoy and really prefer a smaller batt for your pocket, they should be fine for you :)

I'd say option 2. I run 650 mAh batteries with zero problems and can usually get 1-1.5 days per battery. I do always carry my spare when I'm out and about, just in case, though. Mostly because I don't charge until the battery dies, though. Starter kits aren't bad, but like I saw one person say, sometimes ala carte is a cheaper way to go. Just keep in mind that you may pay more in overall shipping charges if you go that route.

The Mini Vivi Nova is a great tank, even if it is a top coil. I haven't used mine yet, but I know about 20 people that use them, and none have problems with leaking or dry hits. Just keep an eye on your wicks before you take a hit, and you won't have to worry about it. One thing you want to think about, though, is getting a metal tank for your vivi, as some fluids can ruin the plastic or acrylic (or whatever they're made of) tanks.

Another thing to possibly consider is getting a few different tanks. See which one works best for you and your favorite flavors. I'm loving my cartotank right now, which is the only reason I haven't even opened my mini yet. If you know any other vapers, see if they'll let you try their setups to see what you prefer.
