I got my eGO from Nicotine Nirvana on Wednesday. I am on Day 4 of using the same battery. I kid you not. QUOTE]

Sorry but 4 days on one charge on a eGo batt is a little bit hard to believe. If in fact you need so little nic why not drop it altogether?

People vape zero nic all the time. What am I missing? If someone only needs to vape very moderately they should just " drop it altogether" That was rude IMO

Spin it how you like. A person comes on the board making talking their excitement over the battery life of their PV. Your "question" is there for the board to see, and I don't imagine I'm the only one who feels that way. I don't suppose you be asking that "question" to a group of members who have been on here for say a year, vape zero nic, and only vape occasionally?

You also questioned the persons claim of their battery lasting 4 days by saying
"Sorry but 4 days on one charge on a eGo batt is a little bit hard to believe" but I imagine you'll spin that one too. Oh well, I've found the majority of people on this board to be better behaved.

What spin is there about a statement of fact? What spin is involved in a statement of disbelief coming from one who uses the same equipment? I asked the question I asked in a forum visited frequently by members who have been here much longer than a year. I asked the question I asked because I myself don't want to make pv's a lifelong habit in lieu of cigarettes. Perhaps you and others do. I don't know what "better behavior" you expect. If you think anything I said or asked was harsh or rude then I can only assume you haven't spent much time in public discourse or internet forums.

Point made, I borrowed this quote from another thread because I couldn't have said it better.

The ability to instantly communicate with someone while being able to retain your anononimity and avoid looking into their eyes opened the door for crushing the human spirit in a way we could never have dreamed of 20 years ago.

We are raising a generation of humans that can't grasp the concept of interpersonal communication unless it involves a keyboard or keypad. That, in my humble opinion, is bad. Very bad.

Whoa...whoa...whoa! It's all good y'all. It think what we have here is a case of "what I wrote and what you read is not what I meant" here. One of the problems of internet forums, blogs and the like is that the written word can easily be misunderstood because we cannot see facial expressions or hear voice inflection or any of that. It is good to know, though, that this is an internet community that won't stand for rudeness or flaming. That's cool. This is a great community from what I've seen so far and I appreciate all of y'all. LET'S VAPE!

In regards to internet jerks and anonimity - my avatar is me. My username is my name - last name, first initial. How many of you can claim the same? If the world's going to view me as a jerk then let them see and know who the real me is. I've never hidden behind a pseudonym. I am really sad that political correctness has reached the level that no one can say anything that might be construed as the least bit critical.

It is not a question of construing or being critical, what you look like or what your name is is not the point.

It is all but calling someone a liar or telling them if they should vape or not vape. Some people enjoy vaping and have no intentions of ever quiting, I am one of them. Even if I were go to 0 nic I will still vape because it fills the void of smoking. I smoked for 27 years and loved it, I wasn't planning on quiting either I just realized that I love vaping more than smoking, so if it keeps the analogs out of my mouth and I am healthier for it, yay for me cause that is a bonus as I was convinced smoking was a way of life for me and that I would have to settle on the fact that I would die because of them and with one in my hand. So who are you to tell me or anyone they should just drop them? It would be a shame if they took your advise and then picked up a analog because the only habit wasn't just the nicotine wouldn't it?
As for the eGo, I got mine today and I love it. I also was able to kill the battery in 6 hours, I normally kill a regular 510 battery in 30 mins, so yes I believe a very light vapor could make one last for 4 days if it started out fully charged, but even if I didn't... so what! I am tickled pink that someone can make there PV work so well for them and stay off the analogs, even if it was only 10 a day. 10 a day is still a habit and a bad habit. That's 3650 killer analogs a year.

Well you know it's funny, but I pretty much vape on the same schedule that I smoked. Though I said a half-a-pack/day, it's really more like seven. My smoking schedule was like clockwork (actually it was set to the clock), so that's probably why though I did smoke for 32 years, I never became a heavy smoker. Keeping to that schedule kept it under control. I vape according to that same schedule, though I have to admit that i already find myself reaching for my eGo, well, just because. :D

I wish I could have done that. I smoked 1-3 packs a day through out the years. I averaged about 1.5 packs a day most of the years, but smoking for me was a free will thing, if I wasn't busy I was smoking and if I went to long without a analog I would create a break. I could not function or focus if I was having a nic fit. I just thank god that smokes and pregnancy did not agree with my 2 daughters cause I don't know if I would have had enough willpower to not do it.

Hi all,

I have some questions regarding the ego, riva, and hello. I'm not new to vaping but once i got my des 901 i never really moved on past it and then got the smoke 51 which has ...... me off, for lack of quality. But i have heard great things about the ego and all the reviews on youtube.com. from what i can tell the ego and riva are the same just as far aas looking at them. Does anyone recomend which of the 2 i should get and be reliable, and also anything about the hello? big batt, but nothing else really special from what i see. If somone could recomend me to the right one that would be very greatful. I am in the military and out of the country or land for 2 to 3 months at a time and which ever it needs to last me that long.

Thanks,
Thump

You know, I am so new to this I can't say much, but my Joye eGo has been great. For what my limited experience is worth, I'm sure you'd like it. BTW, I'm retired Air Force myself. You take care out there....we're proud of you guys.

Thank you. and thanks for the input. I'll probably just go on and order it and maybe later try the others. Coast Guard here. big white boat.

The hello and Riva are knock offs of the Ego. the Hello has a 1300 mah option battery I believe, but am not certain, know it's close to that. I've heard the 1300 mah is rated higher than it actually is by some on here. The Ego is genuine Joye. My opinion is you could save a few bucks by going with the knock off version, and may even get the same performance, heck they may be making them the same place for all we know. I`d spend the few extra $ personally, I'd also use cignot, even though you may find it cheaper. I know you won't find faster shipping, and they'll take care of you if you have any issues. To me a few bucks is worth that. Plus they sell the Ego mega cartos now as well.

Hi thumpingbeetle86,
I had the same question (Riva,Hello or Ego) before I have bought Ego.I am sure that all are nice models. My main reasoning was that Ego is on much more sites and I always could buy parts if something should happen with it and buy it from different vendors. Also, cartomizers for Joe510 are on many sites and they work very well for Ego too, in case you'd want to use them.
I am on my second day of using Ego and, as I said, am in awe for it's battery longevity and vapor.
Good luck with your choice and please, stay safe.
