Is the video still going to happen? Mine is having the same problem and I've only had it a few days.

Has anyone contacted Provape about this issue. I saw this before I ordered my zap but decided to get it anyway because of Provape's customer service. Mine isn't giving me any problems but if it does, I'd rather send it back for service than try to get out my gorilla glue. I paid a lot for this thing and quality was a big part of my decision to spend the money. I can accept one of my $20 rbas coming apart after awhile but not this one. Easy fix or not, I don't feel that I'm the one who should have to do the fixing if fixing is needed.

Also, if there is any regular maintance that needs to be done to keep this thing it top working condition, Provape needs to either give us instructions or a video like they did of Zen setting it up.

Man, I just reglued the delrin this morning and tonight it popped back out. Does anyone have any tips?

Edit: I reglued again this morning and the post got stuck about 7/8ths of the way down. What would be the best way of removing it?

Mine has been holding up well since I glued it with Loc-Tite CA.

I do agree though donnah for what we spent on these they should be made in a way that this cant happen, but I would rather fix it myself than send it in for a fix, since they will do the same thing, and not do a permanent redesign/fix.

ive learned that they are not glued anymore(at least on newer batches)...it is press fit. i still can not for the life of me understand how it is popping up on people. there is no force being applied up or down at all on the delrin(unless maybe the post on the provari is too high making it push up on the delrin when screwing it on).

and for anyone that didn't notice there is a video and pic tutorial on cleaning on the provape subforum that has been there for a while. i am sorry for the horrid pics, my camera really really sux

...snipped...

What is the spring loaded positive pin pressing against? The SS top post, that is screwed into the delrin post, so the spring is putting some pressure on the whole center post assembly.

Yea, you're absolutely right Buzzsaw. The spring has enough force to push the entire assembly up. I just had the issue on my ZAU. This thread has been a great help, so thanks to all.

Is there any consensus on what glue is best used to fix this? Loctite... Gorilla Glue? I think either way it should be the super glue type (CA) yes?

Early this week my ZAP started to OP out on the Provari.

Temperature sensitive, wouldn't work when cold. Only after I set the ZAP into direct sunlight for 15 minutes getting real hot, did the Provari detected it's resistance.

I stripped the ZAP down as indicated by Ninfreak --> Disassembling and cleaning the ZAP - Pic Tutorial and the suggestions of others and she's up and running properly again.

I wouldn't do this every week, but 6 weeks is getting there and I'd definitely do it by then again.

Thanks all !!!

Just bought mine 2 weeks ago and my center post popped up today. It wouldn't fire. So I took it apart and cleaned everything. Slipped the center post back back in and everything worked again for a few hours, then popped back out. The force of the spring is to much. I think the post gets hot and weakens a bit, thus the spring forces the derlin (I think that is what it is called) to pop up. So much, the small center pin of contact to the provari disconnects. I think the problem could be solved easily if the coil in the derlin was more springy. Or maybe just a tad shorter. Right now, I just unscrew the tank and push the center back down until it sticks out of the bottom a little bit. then tighten back down again. It is still popped up a little bit but it still makes contact. But no pressure to force it back up again. The only gripe I have about this is that now the positive post sticks up a bit higher now and makes for a tighter drag. For what I paid for this, this sucks. There are cheaper devices on the market that are designed better than this. I have not nor should I have to glue a damn thing.

The problem is not with the provari, it fires with everything I put on it. The problem is with the z atty pro. The spring is to much. To much pressure when fully tightened. Sucks, being that this is specifically designed for the provari. This really should have been a nonissue to begin with. A slightly shorter spring will fix this, end of story. There is no need for this much resistance on the positive pin connection on the z atty pro.

Same issue here. I push the post back down a few times a week.

I can understand how a low production product like this can have issues. Considering the small size of the user base and that most of us are probably on this forum I would have thought someone from ZEN would have contributed to this thread by now with an official fix. That is disappointing.

This issue is not just related to the atty pro. I have the Zen Atty Pro and U. My Atty Pro has not had this issue whereas the U does.

If there is link to an official fix, my apologies, it might be a good idea to post it here.
