how do i get my picture to pop up beside my post?

You have to go into your Settings and click on Edit Avatar. You can upload a pic there. Since you just got 15 posts, you might have to wait a little while so the forum can update your post count first.

And when you have 15 posts, you may have to wait about an hour for your settings to have Edit Avatar and Edit Signature added.
