Does anyone actually like their Plume Veil? I've heard so many mixed reviews. I don't even use mine anymore but I want to like it so bad. My other tanks are just so much better though.

Not bad, but not the best for flavor, but the best of my RDAs for clouds. (includes Stillare, Veritas, Magma, and Mutation X)

The MX comes close, but the PV beats it out by a hair.

I have a wide range of drippers that all get used at least once a week, depending on my mood.

For pure flavor, Magma
For good flavor and good vapor, Veritas
For great vapor and good flavor, Plume Veil
For unreal vapor and poor flavor, Stillare.

I like my Plume, you just have to build it right.
Good to hear. I like the blocked center post, I finder it easier to build on, but to be honest I have only worked with a block center post.

Complaints with mine:
after I make a build my post screws will eventually loosen up and it's doesn't fire right.

If I tighten the screws too much it snaps my wire (never happened to me before on my other RDAs)

When it is working right the flavor and vapor are average at best. I would even consider it poor at times.

Pros:
It looks cool

Do yourself a favor and get a stillare, tugboat or a magma.

As to the leads getting snapped by over-tightening, you may want to take out your screws and lightly file down any burs that may be on the ends. Some clones have problems with burs being left on the screws. I have noticed that Plume Veil owners do run into this more often than others.

I usually end up with more juice on the mod then in the air....

newbie RDA guy here.... I bought the plume veil because of the reviews on flavor. I did a ton of different builds on it. I tried different juices. It is "ok" but not an everyday deal.

It leaks.
YEA... file down the screws on a clone because it snaps the wire.. My tobh clone did the same thing.
It leaks.

I did the same everyday build (7wraps - 26 guage - .43 ohms on my Helios and the Plume Veil. Helios had better vapor and taste. I am sure each RDA should be used with a build that you like I just do not like this build on the rda.

ALSO, the posts are so short it is harder to build a big coil.
AND yes if you build a big coil and open the top air holes it burns the delrin ring.

OH yea did I mention it leaks?

Plume Veil vs Helios.

BUT the Black Plume looked cool on the black Stingray X.

Its the only RBA i have but I'm happy with it... not really sure what to get next tho. I think the plume fails on a single coil build but i use dual vertical coils and love it

That's funny, single coil was the thing I liked most about it. With the split center pin, you can get a longer distance between the negative post and farthest away of the two center post holes. Can get a real long low gage micro coil in there.

I usually end up with more juice on the mod then in the air....

And that's my number on complaint with the thing.... It just leaks like crazy. The holes in the sleeve and holes under the negative posts is a nice idea, just leaves the thing open for leaking like crazy. I'll vape the thing at home now and then, but never take it out because I'd have juice all over everything.

My Plume Veils are my favorites for my Sigelei 100 w for work, I have 3 of them, the dual center post makes it easy to build, to compensate for the lack of flavor I build long dual parallel .5s for max surface area and run the wattage up, also to take maximum advantage of the thru the post air flow I have the cotton wick dead end vertical to the deck and no tails are under the coils.

I like my plume.. It's not my favorite RDA but it's pretty good... I certainly don't regret buying it. It does leak if you aren't careful, and it does suffer in flavor compared to many other RDAs, but it can crank out the vapor if that's what you're looking for. I honestly don't use it much for just that reason, I tend to focus on flavor more than anything... Still, as I said, it's not a purchase I regret by any means.

i love my plume veil, other than you need to be careful how you drip or it leaks.
i build mine with dual paralel 28 gauge 6 wraps around the little screwdriver that came with it, comes out to about .3 ohms.
cotton wick through and ends tucked under the coil. i use a lot of cotton in the base to help keep leaking to a minimum.
also i use an airflow control drip tip instead of the top airflow control holes, everything wide open

See I'm a flavor junkie not a cloud chaser. I get plenty of flavor and vapor out of my Stillare so the choice is logical. Why would I sacrifice immense flavor for a little more vapor when I already get so much vapor out of my Stillare that I could jump on it like a little cloud and fly around like baby Goku?
