Ok, I am new to the forum and fairly new to ecigs, I have tried simply one ( I.e mystic, blu cigs kit and disp.) but I would really like to upgrade. Money is not an issue and I realize you tend to get what you pay for. I have done a bit of research and am open to opinions I want something refillable. I also want something adjustable voltage 3-6v or whatever it is. And I want something with a manual battery. I am having a hard time finding that throat hit I want. I want something u can feel in your chest like an analog. Or close as I can come. I open to new flavors and excited to try whatever, but I want that harsh or however you would explain it feeling.. So whatever will give me that.. I'm even having a hard time did a web site that sells anything but starter kits or just basic things. Size and look aren't a big Issue.. I don't want something that's a beast bit it doesn't have to be cig sized either lol.. I appreciate any help and if anyone feels like they could build me a little list of everything I would need to grab that would be awesome :) also I was thinking I want something in high nicotine .. Like 48 I kno people say that's strong but I averagely smoke 2 packs plus daily of full flavor .. I plan to get something like 24 for in between or if that's to much.. Thank you guys soooooo much I have racked my brain on this

Hey and welcome.

Okay this is just my opinion here but i would go with.

eGo twist batteries - they provide variable voltage so you can increase the amount of heat generated to help produce more vapor, warmer vapor and some extra Throat hit.

For the juice feeder, i would say 2.0ohm cartomizers from either boge or ikenvape. They are what i use in my tanks and i enjoy them. you can also try a ViVi Nova tank. They are easy to rebuild and clean.

Go with 24mg nicotine juice, the throat hit is very strong. I cape 18mg and its perfect for me.

Try a lot of different juices. My favorite vendors are : Nite Lite Vapor, juicy vapor and a guy here by the name of Mad Murdock who makes Pluid, a great juice.

Anything with Menthol, mint or cinnamon will give a extra blast to the throat. So maybe start trying some of those juices.

good Luck mate and we are all here to help :)

Pardon my ignorance, but what is pluid?

That's the name of a flavor of juice that Mad Murdock makes.

I also second what cerver7 and Klynnn are saying. Grab yourself an eGo Twist or two (backups are ALWAYS good in the vaping world), maybe 2 Vivi Novas (or the mini vivi novas, as they are about the same diameter as the eGo style batteries) some cartos, just in case and your juice.

This will get you started pretty good. Then in a month or two if you still have an itch for more power and don't mind a larger mod, and money is no object, then grab a Provari.

You, my friend, are looking for 5v with a dual coil carto. lol I WOULD recommend an eGo twist, but I was never really able to get it up to a higher voltage without tasting burnt. Even with 3ohm cartos. I would recommend a LavaTube, Zmax or Provari. They all do a great job, but the features vary with each. I've seen that the Zmax is also variable wattage, like the Darwin or a Kick. Variable wattage will give you a consistent hit no matter what ohm carto or atty you're using. When you use an ecig, you're not creating voltage, you're creating watts. The voltage is just part of the equation. Watts is the answer. Check out these videos to learn about it. It makes you wonder why more vendors aren't going variable wattage.

There are alot of things you can do here to get yourself started with a decent setup. But every single person recommends the eGo twist for your first variable voltage battery. And I am about to order mine as my first as well. But I have done alot of research into the lavatubes and have come up with this.

Pbusardos review of the 2 differant chrome lavatubes is innaccurate. The Lambo lavatube DOES have ohm checker and battery meter he just didnt know how to use it, or had an older version "dont know" Thats the one you want to find, the Lambo lavatube, it has a red power button and cant be confused with a young june lavatube that has a silver one.

DO NOT rush your first pv, get twists and do research, it has taken me upwards of 3 weeks of searching, asking, reading and listening to make the decision to buy a Lambo. And thats upwards of 4+hours a day of reading and learning from experienced vapors.

If you just dont want the twists, or are getting them anyways, I still suggest the Lambo for a first vv mod tube. Its 80 bucks for the kit on vaporheads.net, comes with a 6 month warranty as well. So you really cant go wrong there.

Also its something you need to know, the chinese mad vmax and zmax, as well as the young june lavatube. And multiple other mods made by smoktech and other chinese manufacturers are being tunes wrong. They tune to voltage average instead of VRMS so when you set it to 3.0v you get 4.5v.

reviewers your doing it wrong - YouTube

This makes 1.5ohm and possible 2.0ohm cartos run at basically their max voltage if you use them, severly limiting your options for trying new things, which as a new vapor you want to do.

Hope this helps.

Yeah its really just a matter of time before all pvs go variable watt, which I am looking forward to. But im still buying a lavatube and twist in the meantime. I agree 100% though, watts is indeed the answer.

I agree here. i think VW will be the next general thing to come into the vape world with most if not all mods. Ill just wait until Provape does one or the darwin goes tube mod :)

Ok Whilst agreeing with the fact that variable voltage is variable wattage debate. Most manufacturers already have broached the variable Power threshold. Wattage(power) is a form of voltage x voltage/Ω. So If I am vaping at 5.4volts(as I am right now) on a 2.4Ω coil(as I am now) I am vaping at 12.15 watts. My Wattage is variable depending Soley on those two factors, Voltage and Ω Load. Variable wattage is variable voltage, with a mask on. The nice thing about the Darwin circuitry is that it has a comparator built into the device to maintain the preset end result wattage so that there is no fiddling by the user unless the user wants to adjust something. It checks the attached device and adjusts the voltage output based on the resistance of that specific attachment so that your requested wattage level is accomplished. While it is a nice feature i truly do not believe that all devices will eventually have this feature, nor that all devices need this feature. I do think that the adjustable vaping experience as a whole is benefficial to old and new vapers alike, wether we are adjusting the ohm load, or the voltage, the amount of nicotine, or the bases of our liquids there are so many ways to get where we all want to go. You just need to pick the avenue that you want to travel down, and enjoy the journey. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

To the OP, First off welcome to ECF.

Please think wanting 48 mg nic juice. That is very risky to be vaping. I know you said you are a 2 pack a day smoker, well I smoked almost 3 packs a day and 24 was enough for me, others do need to go as high as 36. If you find you need more than that check out the WTA juices.
