PMs & Quota (not fixed)

Hi Angus,

I thought the problem was resolved as I'm able to respond to pm's. However, I just discovered that it's not fixed.

I received a few pms today. That said, someone just tried to pm me and I received notification via email:

Dear vaporgalinfla,

"so and so" has just tried to send you a private message. However, your private messages box on E-Cigarette Forum has reached the specified quota. In order to receive further private messages, you must delete some messages.

The person that tried to pm me just emailed me via a personal email account. This is the message she received:

Vaporgalinfla has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space.

I checked the folder controls:

Inbox contains 146 messages. You have 358 messages stored, of a total 1,000 allowed.

Help (again!)

maybe you can delete some of your sent pms until angus responds. at least that way you can make sure no new incoming pms are turned away.

Angus pm'd me; I think he's working on it. The strange thing now is that some pms come through, but others don't. I've already deleted a lot of incoming and sent pms.

don't forget you can archive [save] those pms if you think you might have to refer back to them.

how many are in your 'sent' box - they do count against the total allowed.....

but it sure looks as if you lost your allotment of 1000, lol

I have 186 in my sent. Yep - my allotment of 1,000 is gone today. I'm hoping that someone is working on the problem and might have started all over from the 300 allotment (keeping fingers crossed).

By the way, perhaps I'm overlooking something, but how do I archive pms?

Sorry for the delay. I've been having some "technical difficulties" with my computer, so it will be tomorrow until I can really take a good look at this. I won't sleep (after tonight) until you're all fixed up.

That's okay! I know how annoying computer problems are. It will be great once this problem is fixed, but please sleep. So, should I be blaming Rolygate? Is he the one that messed up my pms? (just kidding...)

Only need to be 50 to join the AARP, Angus, but I'm not a member.

I use an ECF sig banner on the All About forum, so it all balances out.

That won't work. I've confirmed her issue, and it is a tricky one. This looks like an actual software glitch that may need some coding work.
