If and when someone stops and asks you what you're smoking, what do you normally tell them? E-cig, PV or something else? Just curious.

If I don't know them I call it a ecig because a lot more people know what that is. If I do know them it's a PV and I explain what it is.
I either tell them "mod" or "provari" (we all know its a class of its own)

I've noticed that if I ever mention "Vaporizer" most of the time people think i'm referring to weed.
I suppose it would depend what I am using. Ego or cigalike I would say e-cig if I had a vamo evic provari or the like i'd say pv. If it doesn't look like a cigarette or cigar
Heh, I got asked for a lighter today... just said "Don't got one, its electric." Kinda felt bad for a second.... then just marveled at the power of nic fits.
I generally say it's a pv if I get asked. I am sort of under the impression that e-cig refers more to cig-alikes than the mid-sized or the mods. But then again, I'm not an expert. =]

It depends - if I am trying to be obscure, I tell them personal vaporizer. If I am trying to be open and educational I say e-cigarette.
I say "its my PV, personal vaporizer, but if you're not familiar with them then you'd probably know it better as its common name, an electronic cigarette. I don't like calling it an electronic cigarette because that makes you think it IS a cigarette and its not. "
My experience has been that if I'm talking to a hardcore anti they simply give me a dirty look and tell me it IS a cigarette. I've found ya can't educate those that don't want to be educated. But for most others its a great gateway to having them ask me other questions so I can help make them better informed about what it really is and isn't.

It's the one thing I don't like about some of the bigger mods. Look an awful lot like my wifes, uh, personal entertainment devices.
Up until today I have answered e-cig.... but with the crap people are spreading about them I think I'll start saying a vaporstick.... we'll see how that goes over
