Hi guys, just started experimenting with twisted coils and have been pretty underwhelmed by the flavor. The build I have in my stillare clone is a duel 5 wrap twisted 28 on a 5/64 bit coming in at .31.

I have tried using minimal wick and also putting a cotton cloud underneath and either way my standard duel 26g 7 wraps at .37 puts out way better flavor and a comparable amount of vapor.

I have tried both open and fairly closed airholes and my regular 26g build is still way more flavorful. The 28g was hand twisted using a pen and pliers. This is running on a mech with vtc4s.

Any tips or advice ? Thank you.

24 ga micros at about 0.7 ohm per coil are the sweet spot for me. Duals in my Orchid at 0.3-0.4 is heaven. I recently tried to revive my kayfun with a 28 ga at 1 ohm = garbage. I think once you start sub-ohming below 0.5, you get used to it and anything above that won't taste as good using the same juice... you have to go to higher PG juices just to taste anything at those higher ohm builds.

Try adding a few more wraps. I used to do twisted 28's all the time on a 7/64 bit with 6 or 7 wraps and always found it to be a nice vape. At 5 wraps you may not have the surface area on the wick and the coil might be heating up to fast. I actually have a 28 twisted and single 26 run in parallel that is probably one of the nicest hitting builds I've done.
