Hi All
I just got a bunch of Boge Cartomizers that I will be using in our tanks. They were listed at 2.7 or 2.8. They all metered at 3.0 or 3.1. I know the dealer can't meter every carto that he gets so he depends on hissupplierr sending as listed. For our use I find under 3.0 has better flavor and lasts longer. We have tested this out with about 20 cartos. These are used on VV, 5 V, and 3.7 Volt units. Mostly clear juice. This is just a rant and I know they don't cost a lot. I can live with the oddDOAa carto without complaining. Can anyonerecommendd a different brand of carto thatmeterss as it is sold I meter every carto that I get and store with same.

You want 100% consistency in cartos?! You may as well be looking for the Holy Grail. ;)

Not bashing you, just saying that it is almost impossible to expect to receive that level of quality. Also, the moment you start using a carto, it will change, depending on what you use, and how fast it degrades.

I like vaping LR's and therefore will buy either the 1.5 or 1.7 LR's. Some are at 1.5, some are at 1.7.. the occasional one will be 1.8 or so. I'm happy..

Almost every manufacturer out there lists their carto ohms with a +/-.2 ohm variance. I believe that's the best they can do.

I guess your right. But they were listed at 2.7 and none were below 3.0. Maybe I should order the 2.5 then hope for 2.7 or 8. It doesn't seem like much of a difference but for our setups it makes one. Thanks

Did you Zero your meter? Meter probs leads add .3 or .4 Ohms to the actual Resistance. Short your leads together and take a reading, subtract that number from your Carto reading. If it's a higher class meter there might be a Zero or Null button to auto subtract the the resistance of the leads. Short leads together and press the button, it's the same a Tare button on a scale.

Hey, sorry to jump in but what is the process to test the resistance?

Multimeter. Set to check Ohms (Resistance). One probe on the centre post of carto, one probe on the thread. Read number.

That's the simple way.

Remember to hold the two probes together and subtract the resulting number from the end result..
