Popping carto...

I orderd, and received my Volcano Inferno last week, and I also ordered a pack of 5 cartomizers. I have filled three of them with juice I had previously purchased from JC. The issue I am having today, and only with one of them is popping. While I am inhaling, I'll get drops of liquid that come out of the carto, and end up in my mouth.

Is this because I have overfilled them? The instructions say 1ml max, and I've been putting ~8ml or so. The one or two times that it has started to come out as an overflow, I have put the needle in and sucked some out.

If its not the overfilling issue, what else could be causing it?

I'm not sure anyone knows exactly why some cartos do that, but occasionally they will. My theory is that the wire inside isn't completely covered like it should be and juice is contacting it directly causing it to "splatter" like oil in a pan.

I've had some pop like that and continue to do so while working perfectly. Other people have reported that they've had them that eventually pop and then die. If it were me, I'd try filling that one with a little less juice to see if it helps. You can also use a drip tip on them (I *think* that carto is the same diameter as the D1s...) to lengthen the amount of space between your lips and the filler material.

Sometimes, the 'poping' ones seem to work better even.

If you find you're getting too much liquid in them what I do is use a straightened out paper-clip, and put it in the hole in the battery end, then slide it up thru the carto up towards the mouth end several times. I do this after I fill them with the end caps still off and then look thru the hole at a light source to see if there's light going thru (light thru the tunnel so to speak). I also spin the cart around with the paper clip thru the holes to sorta distribute the juice a bit.

Seems to work pretty good for me.
