Popping sound?

Very very new to this! Just switched from cigarettes to vaping 2 days ago. So far I love it. Just wondering if it's normal to hear a popping sound when pressing the button and drawing? I have the kangertech EVOD.

Hi MrsP21, I also use the Kanger Evod. The shop told me it's normal to hear the crackle/pop. I have also found that the flavor is very much enhanced with the Pop is heard. I wait for it while drawing and also draw a sec or two, after letting go of the button.

when you cook bacon in the frying pan it is exposed to very hot temperatures and it sizzles and pops---

our coils are producing sometimes in excess of 450 degrees and so..............

I'm new to vaping high wattage, found out that if I draw harder, the popping is much reduced, so you could try that.
What did best for me is to start drawing after holding the button for 1 second the draw until you can feel the liquid boiling more and more then release the button before it goes to "popping-point" lol new term

Thanks everyone! I'm used to the popping sound now and it doesn't seem to happen as much. Haven't had a cigarette in a week and not really feeling like I ever want one again. Wish I tried this sooner.

Mine always does it more with a new coil...And apparently the brand doesn't matter I have about 40 tanks and they all make that sound at some time or another. Congrats on the switch over and ditching the stinkies!!

Mine's popping all the time too, glad to hear it's supposed to happen as I was afraid of it being a sign of my coil already needing a replacement.

I was actually surprised the first time I used a t-vct in temp control, no pop at all. Supposedly the phantom is even quieter, but everyone's going to think you're compensating for something with a tank that big.

I use Kangertech GeniTanks and with them, some popping is normal. My former Aspire (curses on the **** who stole my Aspire vape-pen) popped at higher voltage (wattage not adjustable) and would spit juice, so on that system, popping indicated a problem.

Could it be due to uneven wicking of juice to the coils?

As soon as I saw the thread title, I knew it was a kanger product, pretty common, too high PG doesn't help either..

I vape 50/50. Kangers just seem to pop. I assume it is due to coil construction. It doesn't seem to affect vape quality, just makes stealth vaping difficult.

I'll probably try a different setup next time I buy a tank, just to try something different.

Kanger does seem to pop worse than anything else I have...Still like my Kanger tanks though lol!

Yeah my Kanger Aerotank that I use daily pops.. Specially if your using the new Ceramic dual coils.. Happy Vaping and Congrats on the switch!
