Here's something I just discovered (to go along with the Reverse Atomizer Blowout). This helps with that gurgling sound one gets on 510's from PS (why would you get them anywhere else?). I always assumed it was a partially flooded atomizer.

The air channels in the tip of a 510 actually go up the side of the tip...the little black tip that sticks into the atomizer (or the cart, if you use a cart). Fluid can build up in there after vaping for a while, and gurgle or bubble when inhaling.

To clear this, take the tip off and blow into the end that you usually inhale from. Do this into a napkin or paper towel. You will see the trapped juice come out, and the gurgle will go away when you put it back on and vape!

Excellent Tip Barefoot! I've been doing this for some time now. Normally, every time I refill, I blow out the tip while i'm at it, and wipe it on my jeans (and no - eliquid doesn't stain ... atleast jeans ... its weird! -- Looks wet for about 5 minutes, then dries clear) I'm weird like that, but blowing it how like how you described above does a couple things. 1) stops the gurgle 2) less chance of getting liquid in your mouth or on the tip!

great suggestion Joe!

You know, just last night I noticed this same thing, so I took my 510 cart and drilled a hole through it to the poly fill chamber... now i get nice huge hits and no more gurgle (and an added benefit, for some reason i seem to get twice as many hits off a drip before getting the burnt taste).

I use the rubber grips from a ball point pen on my 510 and 901s, so I can tailpipe without burning my lips. Works great! Crappy picture from cell phone.

excellent .... thanks huey! look forward to them! been trying to solve my juice in the mouth issue that I have with 510's ... I've been using 901 whistle tips on my 510 atty's for ages now ... its been then the standard 510 cart tips

[lame url hack for pics since I'm still too noob (they killed my old huey account when switching to the age verification on the new server, boo!!!)]

Ok, here's the first pic. As you can see I did a little more than just drill a whole. The top cart is the one that came with my PS 510 atty for dripping. The bottom one is an old Janty 510 I had laying around. For those who have pulled apart a 510 cart before, you will know that a cart is made up of 3 parts, the cart itself, a mouthpiece on the tip and a disc underneath the mouth piece (presumably to catch extra fluid sneaking past, like the cartomizers).

Much like you do when refilling the cartomizers I pulled the mouthpiece off with a bent paperclip and fished out the disc underneath (pieces 1 & 2 in the lower row in this pic). Then I cut a little bit off of the top of the cart (piece 3 in the pic - mouthpiece side) with a ginsu - prolly not the easiest method. Then I cut a little off the atty side of the cart (piece 5 in the pic - I don't know what it is but I always felt like the 510 carts should line up with the ceramic bowl in the atty when putting them in, I figured this way I wouldn't have to worry bout it anymore, but it prolly doesn't matter). Then I ditched the extra disc (piece 2) and stuck the mouthpiece side back into the cart. Without the disc the mouthpiece actually has 2 "wings" that fit down in the airholes that you guys are talking about. Then I took a 5/32 drillbit and drilled right through the mouthpiece and the polyfill chamber. 5/32 is the perfect size to fit into the polyfill chamber without burring up the inside of the chamber. All put back together it's a little shorter than the original cart (and the janty cart didn't have as much "lip" to go into the atty so it's not as secure as the PS cart, but I didn't want to destroy my PS cart). This gives me pretty much the same functionality as tailpiping without the ghetto crackpipe gonna burn my lip feeling... ;-)

Here's a pic through the hole.

I've taken to modifying the 510 carts. If you dig out the end cap from the cart, there will be another "baffle" or similar sized plastic disc with a hole about an 8th of an inch deeper. With the right size of screwdriver you can dig that baffle out, and just replace the end cap and Presto! No more juice buildup.

A good sized paper clip is the perfect tool to remove the baffle. I just did it.

Huey ... You trimmed the cart down so that first piece you pop out with the 2 ends fits down the sides where originally the air came from right?

Yeah, it was a lil trial and error, my cut is a little rough but the mouthpiece fits down with the wings in the original wholes and the mouthpiece is flush with the end of the cart still.

Mine is too!!! I measured it and it fits perfect. a little rough around the edges but fits in nice and snug!!!

loving the idea huey!!! the nubby cart kind of looks weird in a way HAHA ... But I still love it!!!!

Cool, let me know if you are getting more hits per drip. I seem to be able to pull 12-15 hits before getting a burnt taste with this cart as opposed to the 5-8 from the old cart which seems to match up with tailpipers' accounts, although I might just be crazy.
