GOOD. The FDA would really have a hard time arguing with him, especially since i believe they're responsible for all the warnings on the sides of packs of cigarettes in the first flipping place. Either he's legit or he ain't. To disagree now means swapping feet for the FDA.

My thoughts exactly. I highly doubt he did it because he strongly believes in the product, though that might be a secondary consideration. I'm sure they offered a hefty endorsement agreement to be on the board. That being said, he has connections...and those connections have connections. So overall a very positive. Sometimes "whoring" for money does yield positive results.
Great news! The timing could not have been better! Carmona's campaign against tobacco gives him a lot of credibility with the anti's to speak out in favor of harm reduction. Him saying that he would be looking at the science sort of made me snicker. He's already looked at the science or he wouldn't have joined the NJOY board or said a single word in favor of e-cigs.
This is absolutely HUGE and a feather in the cap for all vapers. Can't wait to see where this leads in the battle with the FDA.
Speaking from the other side of the addiction question, it remains to be seen whether he is an advocate of a cap on nicotine content for the general consumer.
