Possible material for atomizer sheath?

I would love to be able to see inside my atomizer, but the stainless steel, black or other color sort of makes that hard. Is there any reason why the housing (sheath, I guess) of the atomizer couldn't be made of glass? Obviously it would need to be thicker than a metal one, but that wouldn't really bother me. Would glass disperse heat better than steel?

I could also see a round of mods containing small LEDs in the fitting that would shine up through the edges of the glass. That might look pretty sharp. If I had the resources, skills, or knowledge about how to make one I would try it, but I doubt that will happen. Just a thought... Anyone else?

I don't know but glass might crack with too much heat, plus I wouldnt want it to shatter in my pocket or when I drop my PV.

It is a good idea and will be stolen by a company when looks become king. As I see PVs they are no more complex than a torch and this type of asthetic change is really the way they will evolve.

Royal smokers have a see through cartomiser and darwin just chucked my no more complex than a torch idea out the window. Ah well
