Normally, I'd take this to a local/regional room, but I have to post here 5 times. I'm looking into joining the ecig community, and am looking for a local shop in Southern Dallas or Northern Ellis county, TX. I've been reading a lot & it's a bit overwhelming with all the different choices. Imagine shopping for a computer when you've never owned one - probably similar.

So, if anyone knows of any shops in this area, please reply.

Welcome to ECF. There are relatively few brick and mortar shops that sell ecig supplies (that aren't ripoff mall kiosks). Your best bet is to buy online, especially to save money and give yourself more options. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, this forum is very helpful.

Online nearly always has a better selection and better pricing than bricks/mortar stores.
The big downside is, of course, you cannot 'try before you buy'
That said, many juice suppliers have low-price sampler packs of 3 or 5mL bottles so you can find your favorites fairly quickly and cheaply.

Hey TexFan. I bought local and the mall got me for $190 for a kit that didn't satify. I was buying another ecig with more power in no time. Are you looking for an ecig that looks like a cigarette or would something the size of a sharpie pen be ok for you? The bigger batteries will last you all day in most cases and you'll pay around $40 for a kit (2 batteries, charger and so forth) plus $6 - $10 for 5 cartomizers (filters and heat) and a few sample sizes of juice. You should get out the door for under $70 at many suppliers on ECF. Give us your wish list and you'll get lots of good recommendations. Good luck!

I'm not even sure what I want yet. I'd considered starting with something that resembles an "analog" as they are called here, as I think the habit might fade easier. I've looked in a dozen or so smoke shops and I just don't feel like I want to trust my health to the typical person behind the counter, and everything seems to be from China. I guess I'll read a little more on here for recommendations and then order.

Thanks for all the replies.

Pretty much 95 % of the hardware comes from China, just the way it is. There are many U.S juice suppliers and most sites for hardware, juice and supplies are hard working Americans just trying to make a living.
